Saying that it’s the “same WR’s as last year”… minus their leading WR in receptions and receiving yards… means it’s actually not the same WR room as last year.
Nobody except your dumbass would trade Rice for JuJu. How's he doing this year? Oh that's right he's barely even played [Reply]

The point is the Chiefs are missing a consistently reliable veteran WR presence that they had in JuJu last year.
You are predictably too Reerunned to see that Rice as a rookie WR is being utilized in a far more limited way than JuJu was last year.
Rice is almost exclusively being used on bubble screens… very little production in the downfield passing game. [Reply]
Every season, an NFL front office and coaching staff has to make decisions, and ALL of those decisions carry risk. It's a hard cap league, so dollars and draft picks are what you have to build a football team, and to win a championship, you need a lot of things to go right.
Almost nothing went right in 2023.
This NFL championship thing is really difficult.
It didn't work this year.
I wouldn't bet against this franchise next year. Would you? I bet they get the ship righted. [Reply]
Calling this “the same WR room as last year” as if that’s some kind of seal that it was good to begin with is something….becoming more and more clear the WR room played WELL over their skis last season and Mahomes was in full God mode… [Reply]

I would need to see what happens first. There are going to be a lot of tough decisions to make this off season and I haven't even paid attention to what the possible free agents class will be. Today sure seemed like reboot 2.0 needs to be on the way doesn't it? And you're not always going to win it all while rebooting like we did last year but I'll gladly take winning the division and winning a playoff game while we setup to win another super bowl in a few years [Reply]

Depends.
I love Sneed, don't get me wrong.
but it depends on what you can get if you were to tag and trade.
Jones is walking, that's almost certain. The defense will likely not be the same. But it can still be a GOOD defense, it just won't be a GREAT defense, most likely.
So much work to do on the other side of the ball. [Reply]
I would pay Sneed before Jones. As great as it is to have CJ95 wrecking the line, Sneed is a lockdown corner that we can put on an island against any WR. Also, Sneed is versatile. [Reply]

We're gonna have at least $60 million after cutting MVS and not paying Jones.
I don't think giving $18 million of that to Sneed will deny us a chance of getting some talent at WR.
This team needs to get at least 2 WR's and an athletic RB2 in FA. At least we won't be picking at 31 and closer to 25. That's gonna help a lot in getting a good player in this top heavy draft. [Reply]

Please tell us reeruns how you really feel and stop beating around the bush!
And don't be afraid to heap on the hyperbole!! :-)
We need pragmatic people like you to bring us down from our lofty throne of enjoying the best run in franchise history - put together by our GM who has failed spectacularly! [Reply]
Yeah a good ol' ass whooping by Buffalo at home is in order. Need Andy and Veach to feel the effects of their garbage choices this year. Also need this team to have fire again. Something to chase.
It also helps us greatly. Picking around 21-22 is way better than late 20's. They can get a legit blue chipper there.
Zay Flowers and Trent McDuffie we're both drafted in that area. [Reply]
