Running the ball in that game was fine in the 2nd half with such a lead but I wouldn't have run the ball ever in the 1st half. Patrick almost averaged 10 yards per throw, so 4.7 ypc is giving up points expected per play. [Reply]

The Chiefs didn’t throw a pass until the 5th play of the last last week. 1 was a Mahomes run and the other 3 was Clyde rushing for 34 yards which opened up the passing game. And what do you know the Chargers LB’s bite on fakes leaving the middle of the field wide open.
The Chargers linebackers still crash hard on run fakes, especially if the run is working. And they still leave massive voids if you time it up right. pic.twitter.com/kEirfdi8DY

You can certainly still be successful but it is lowering the points on average you could score per game. Never, ever, ever run on 1st and 10 when you have a Top 10 QB. Or 2nd and 10, either. Never Ever. [Reply]

So you want Pat throwing 50 times a game?
We gotta keep him healthy...thats what the running game is for...especially when it is working
2nd and five is a great place to be [Reply]
