With the moves in free agency so far and the re-signings leading up to free agency, Veach seems to be setting up to draft a DT in Round 1, but no later than Round 2.
Looking at all the draft gurus in here. Is there a DT worth drafting at 31? [Reply]

Because they’re going to get limited snaps behind Karlaftis, Danna, and FAU, we’ve already dealt with FAU sitting on the bench for the better part of 2 years and I don’t see a rookie DE in the range we’re at doing much better. [Reply]
I think it’ll be DT or CB, since the top level edge guys will be gone before they can trade up. They need all three of those positions anyway, which maybe can be useful and they just take the best one available instead of being forced into reaching for a guy [Reply]
Let’s just keep Wharton and Omenihu? Wharton broke out last season and Omenihu was hurt all year but could be a solid contributor when healthy. [Reply]

Yea the Chiefs just have 60 million dollars laying around. Lets keep Justin Reid while we're at it. [Reply]
Nah, I don’t see veach being content with our OL just because we have a few guys locked down. Two things we’ve seen from veach is when we have a big hole he goes all in to fix it. And when he signs a 1-2 year deal it usually means he needs someone to hold the door open while they find a replacement.
I think we will be going heavy Offense in the draft. I agree that given positional value we will probably go for either DL or DB with the first rounder. [Reply]
I wouldn't mind a RT in the first round to eventually replace Taylor...who's gone after this season when we can reasonably absorb his dead cap hit. [Reply]

Morris has to be able to slot in at RT by next year, if you’re drafting an OT it should be for a developmental option who has the ability to play LT eventually [Reply]

You have no clue how many snaps they're going to get. Danna and FAU aren't keeping Scourton from getting snaps for example. Same with the DT. What a silly take. [Reply]
