Actually, Buffalo are regular season champions this year. We're shit. Don't you watch the news? [Reply]

Yes. Mahomes was injured in that game and in the Jacksonville game two years later.
Having the top seed hasn't been kind to Mahomes' health in the Divisional games.
BTW, I still rank that 2020 team as the best Chiefs team I've seen. But their regular season was riddled with close games against subpar teams. Not much different than this squad in that respect. Just much better offensively and not as good defensively. [Reply]

I'm happy. We are Back to Back Champions and in control for the #1 Seed.
We are positioned for a 3-Peat which has never been accomplished.
Lets just enjoy the ride. [Reply]

It kind of does though.
Hear me out haha.
I got as annoyed as anybody when the Chiefs play a dumpster fire team, and the game comes down to the end and they win on the last play, or last drive.
They do play down to opponents, it's true.
By the same token, all these teams that get slobbered over, Bills, Ravens, that are supposedly godlike and so much better, we drag them from their perch atop Mount Olympus, and they find themselves in a game they're not used to being in, and not comfortable.
We drag them into these same close contests that come down to the end, despite the narrative that they're so great.
The Bills are an offense dropping 40 plus with regularity.
But that game was one defensive stop away from Mahomes getting the football needing a fg to win. We just didn't get the stop. Despite toying with them and turning it over twice, that game was looking like it was going to go how the other 10 one score games went.
We make the opponent play our game. It's frustrating that we don't just smash people.
They were one defensive stop away from a drive for a fg that puts us undefeated.
When the pressure is at its highest this post season, KC is going to be right in their element. Its just what they do.
The other team will have to battle that pressure and play perfect in a hostile Arrowhead Stadium with the Grim Reaper across the field, knowing God damn well what he's going to do if you F this up. [Reply]
I'm here to soak up all the Mahomes I can get. This is the best time in history. It's fucking hard to win in the NFL and we're doing it. It's exponentially more difficult to keep winning and we're doing that too.
It may not be up to the maximum of our potential, but I've watched enough bad football (FUCK Squirmin Herman Motherfucking Sack of Cunt Edwards) to not lose perspective here. [Reply]
While I agree that 80% of these games aren't as entertaining as past seasons, the drama has been off the charts
Watching one of the pregame shows yesterday go through all our outrageous come from behind wins this season really put that into perspective. One or two, that's luck, but fucking 10 or whatever it is? That's championship pedigree on display
Plus being out of market and knowing everyone fucking hates your guts whenever you're out makes winning the way we have this season even more chefs kiss than if we were boat racing teams. I can hear the collective gasp from my neighbors house every week :-) [Reply]
Sure, I'd love to watch the 5000 yards/50 TD version of the offense and last year's defense every week, and then if we could turn off the fucking injuries that would be great..... but, even if the games aren't that level of blissful, they are stress free because the one thing I've always wanted as a fan has been true for several years: they're competitive in biggest games of the year against the best competition when it matters the most.
This barely feels like reality now, much less if they do what no team has done before and actually make it back to the Super Bowl for the 3rd straight year, and then OMGWTFBBQ if they actually 3 peat?!
Kind of feel like I could have skipped the entire season and not missed much...the Donk block was epic. It was the redeeming play in an otherwise forgettable regular season. The ridiculous keystone cops Raiders snap was funny too...
Hard to complain about a 13-1 record....but the Tyreek Chiefs were must watch sports. This is kind of like getting socks for Christmas...useful and serves a purpose but nothing really to get excited about.
Been watching the schedule...waiting for the regular season to get over with. Never thought a Mahomes/Reid team would slowly morph into a more boring version of the Patriots. [Reply]
