The team don't take the regular season too seriously. Andy like to try out new plays and stuff like that. the team really start playing in the post season watch when you see a play like why he do that because he's seing if it work the playoff. [Reply]
Every game is important, but there are some games that are more important than others. This isn't the preseason for them at all, especially considering that there is only one bye. Having an additional week of rest coupled with one fewer playoff games is huge. [Reply]

I think the argument gets thrown into the extremes just like everything else here and elsewhere on the internet... i think one common ground is saying the NFL season (or any pro sports season) is a grind and there's a fine line between showing up and FAFO. It doesn't take "not caring" to simply lose some focus heading into a game or not being a Burrowhead level of motivated and angry in terms of effort.
We all know they flip a switch in the postseason, so the opposite is of course sometimes that's flipped off... that's every team in sports, not just an Andy Reid thing or a Chiefs thing. [Reply]

Let’s also keep in mind that since Mahomes took over as QB, the floor for this team is an AFCCG overtime loss. For some of those players that is a ton of extra games. Look at the stellar 2022 class, all they know is a SB win. Over time that catches up, especially with how difficult last year’s playoffs were.
Another factor is that because KC has been to 4 of the last 5 SBs while winning 3 of them makes them the “Alpha” team in the NFL. They are the team that everyone has circled on their calendar as a big game. KC doesn’t with some teams. So while KC gets everyone’s best shot, not every team gets KC’s. Not saying that means they mail it in, but they might not have the same level of focus in certain games. [Reply]

As long as he's not getting run by like he's impersonating a God damn fence post, he will be a dramatic upgrade.
Realistically if he is even Donovan Smith from last year caliber that will be a huge upgrade. Mahomes has never had a truly franchise LT after Fisher, so he can make due with less, but only to a point. [Reply]
