But man, Richard Simmons was one of a kind... Sad that he kinda went into hiding the last several years of his life. He was always great on Letterman, and all the other talk shows back in the day. And his story really was inspiring. He was the "fat kid" who ate his feelings, and I'm sure being young and gay during that time was something that tortured him for years until he was finally able to push back against his demons and accept himself for who he was. Always came across as a genuinely funny, loving gentle man who while sensitive, knew how to give and take a good joke. He'll be missed. RIP.
