Scanlon has no need for contracts. Once a day, around lunchtime, he simply stares at Carl until dollars begin to pour from that fine, fine suit. Doesn't matter if they're in the same room or not. No man alive has witnessed this. [Reply]

Or maybe Roaf is thinking about retiring...
I saw the report on Metro Sports. They said that Roaf was going to retire, but the Chiefs rolled out the money to keep him around another year.
Now, obviously since he was still under contract, they likely just shifted some of his base salary into a bonus, lowering his cap number for this year.
That said, I think this was more of a effort to keep Roaf than to free up money to sign Law. [Reply]

I never knew that wrapping crisp new C-notes around an ailing hamstring or two was the miracle cure. How about that? [Reply]
Who cares. It ain't our money anyway. If he signs here, oh gosh! Imagine him, and Surtain. With Jared Allen and Tamba Hali? That would be a huge improvement.
And Law can still play. He is the best CB out there. Easily. [Reply]

Could possibly be both. Keep Roaf around, and sign another veteran to help give this team a shot to contend. [Reply]
