Looks like we catch a break not having to face Goedert. He's out for the next four weeks with a fractured forearm.
Eagles’ TE Dallas Goedert has a fracture in his forearm and will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine if there is any further damage, as well, per sources. Either way, Goedert is set to miss time and is an injured reserve candidate. pic.twitter.com/rd9Lnw1fsA

O.city appears to have it right. It’s either a sack or a completion. Looks like their secondary doesn’t hold up very well at all if they don’t get pressure.
They do have one of the better run defenses in the league though.
It's a good run D because no one runs it on them cause you can throw it all over them. [Reply]

Could be, but they also allow a pretty low YPC.
To your point though, they also have the fewest rushing attempts against them of any team this year. That’s also without having a bye week yet. [Reply]
Andy always seems to have the team ready to play the Eagles. Since arriving in KC Reid is 4-0 against his former team, including the Superbowl. Normally I'd look at where both teams are at right now and might conclude that the Eagles have the advantage. But it seems like I remember that being the case/assumption a number of times since Andy got here and we always come out on top. [Reply]
Off the Sunday night game vs. the Cowboys, they Eagles had some long drives in the 2nd half to set themselves up nicely but if Dak was Mahomes the Cowboys would have come back and stunned the Eagles late. Dak had multiple chances late and he couldn't get it done. The Eagles aren't perfect, they almost let that game get away from them.
Would think if we get up on them early at Arrowhead, our top 5 defense could torment them. [Reply]

I really mean it when I say I'm not remotely sure how the Chiefs are going to score. This Philly defensive line is monstrous, deep, with all kinds of veterans savvy and youthful athleticism. I like their linebackers and I think their secondary is not as horrendous now as it's been for part of the season, but the strength is their defensive line, which is probably the league's best. We couldn't even hold off a Dolphins or Broncos DL that was half as talented; I would just get your expectations right. Mahomes is going to get beat up this game.
This is why I'm not a coach.
Now, here's what I do know. Andy Reid is very skilled off a bye, and is also skilled at playing DLs that dial up a ton of pressure. He has all sorts of tricks in his bag, and I do think that secondary can be picked apart by a smart QB, and Mahomes is probably the league's smartest. But I don't know if the Chiefs have the weapons downfield to get the job done. It's going to be really hard to score.
On the other side of the field, I dread owning AJ Brown in fantasy this week because the Chiefs' specialty is taking away a teams' #1 WR threat. I actually don't think Devonte Smith can do a ton of damage this week either -- this Chiefs defense's strength is the secondary, Dave Merritt has everybody in that secondary playing well, and Spags is 9-0 this season.
Swift, however, has been looking exactly like the kind of RB that the Chiefs have struggled with this season. He's slippery, takes more than one tackler, and he runs behind the league's best OL.
The Chiefs defense has given up 21, 9, 10, 20, 20, 8, 17, 24, and 21 points this season. Only the Broncos have had the answer for the Chiefs team, and sure enough, the Broncos were the only team bold enough (and had few enough other options) to just run it straight at us all game.
Personally, I don't think the Eagles are super well coached (they're just more talented), and if they were well coached, they'd run it right at us all game with Swift, Hurts, Penny, and Gainwell. I think that's where you can get us. It's our lone weak spot, and it serves the dual purpose of keeping Mahomes off the field. And not every team can do that, but the Eagles talent is so absurd everywhere that they can.
You are 0-9 this season, however, if you bet against Spags. I just think this is the league's best offense. I expect an output of about 24 points or so.
Can the Chiefs score 24+ points against the Eagles? Ehhhhhhhh
The fucking Commanders scored a combined 62 points in 2 games against the Eagles, but sure, the Chiefs won't be able to score on the Eagles coming off a bye week.
This is EXACTLY why we make fun of you and don't take you seriously. [Reply]

The defense only gave up 14 to the Lions, 7 of those 21 came against the offense. The Dolphins only scored 14 points. [Reply]
