They're gonna talk themselves into a silver lining that this loss was a positive step for the franchise/Nix (despite the fact that the Chiefs play down to literally every opponent they play in the regular season and Denver scored no points in the 2nd half).
That false hope is gonna burn them even worse than even this loss in the end. [Reply]
I really haven't enjoyed the way they've won this season. Way too many close games that could have gone the other way. I'm too old for this shit.
But this game, in retrospect, was different. I really enjoyed this outcome and frankly wouldn't want it any other way. It was better than a four touchdown blowout, or a wide right miss. This was a game they had all but won right down to the last second and we flat out stole it from them. How many times have we lost like that over the years? Nothing is worse. Knowing, absolutely knowing, that you won the day only you didn't win the day, and all that's left is grousing about how we know who the better team was, championing moral victory and using a divining rod to search for silver linings. All while the other team goes home and fucks the prom queen.
My soul still has all the dents and bruises from losses like this. Nothing sucks quite it. I know exactly how they feel. And knowing that they feel it is FUCKING GLORIOUS.
Suck it, donkey shitbags. Nobody else deserves to feel that pain like you do. [Reply]
Told one of my Bronco fan friends, who was devastated by todays loss, to keep the faith.
The Chiefs will probably be resting players week 18 at pile high and they may have a chance. :-) [Reply]
I was sitting there at the end just thinking "Oh well. We were bound to lose. On to the next." and these fuckers were sitting there acting like their mother's life support just went BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPP [Reply]

Yep, they're in complete "just get in and see what happens!!" mode. [Reply]
Since 2000, this was the 108th field goal attempt to tie/go ahead of 35 yards or less t the end of regulation time. This was the ONLY one that was blocked. [Reply]
