But why in the world did you spend a top 15 pick on a RB if you were just gonna give David Montgomery 35 carries?
It’s objectively hilarious to me that they let a 22 year old, clearly talented RB go for a fourth rounder. But spent the 12th overall pick on another shifty RB. All to just give Montgomery 35 carries a game lol. I just think their approach to the RB position is super duper bizarre. [Reply]
It's bizarre, and now it's a pattern. We see DeAndre Swift blowing up with the Eagles and looking like a star. Saw a tweet last night that we'll see Gibbs breakout once he finally gets traded in a couple of years. [Reply]

Then why the fuck did you draft Gibbs there?
Why didn't you draft someone else like I dunno Christian Gonzalez? [Reply]

Veach should get on the phone now and offer up a 3rd, save everyone involved a little wasted time. :-) [Reply]
Actually Atlanta is doing it too...Bijan is not getting the amount of touches you'd expect from a top 10 pick...
Why the fuck would you use a top 15 pick on a RB and then make them part of a time share and in 1 of their cases not even the lead of the time share. [Reply]
Maybe these guys don't have the playbook down, maybe their blocking isn't up to par, maybe they haven't been good enough during the week to earn snaps? Who knows? Could be lots of reasons. [Reply]

Swift obviously didn't earn snaps with Dan Campbell but he can with the team that just went to the SB. [Reply]

My guess is it was a Holmes pick and Campbell wasn't into him at all. Sucks when you're a GM and you get a stubborn coach who won't play a guy who should clearly be on the field. He's using him like a role player when really him and Montgomery's roles should be reversed. [Reply]

I think that the Chiefs-Lions game was a fluke on both ends.
The Chiefs screwed their part up because their WRs all dropped their passes.
But, man. I saw Gibbs run in that game and he was absolutely trucking people. And they barely gave him the ball?
I'd like to see the version of that game where the Chiefs WRs hold onto the ball and have Kelce/Jones, and the Lions make Gibbs the feature talent on offense.
Would be a hell of a game instead of the confusing mishmash we ended up seeing. [Reply]
Based on usage, it looks like probably Gibbs can't pass-pro. And, maybe they're protecting him a little. Outside of the ATL game, he's been limited to about 7-8 carries/gm. [Reply]
Should've taken Jalen Carter. Even if he drives like he's playing Forza, dude would've probably put that defense to the next level with Hutchinson breaking out like he has. [Reply]

I'd say this is probably the case. Jury is still out on a kid 4 games in.
I won't lie though, when they played us, I was way more scared of Gibbs than Montgomery. Probably dumb because Sorensen and Matheiu are gone and we have speed in the back end.
Gibbs though is legit scary. I don't blame them for picking him.
They're idiots, but they're pretty good. Always good to see them house those entitled fuck Packers. [Reply]
