Trade: The #Vikings are adding a new left tackle, completing a trade with the #Jaguars to acquire LT Cam Robinson in exchange for draft pick compensation, per me and @TomPelissero.
Vikings get Cam Robinson and a conditional 2026 7th (that can go away based on playtime) and Jaguars get a conditional 2026 5th that can become a 4th based on playtime, per source.
His contract can not fit into our cap ATM so I'm guessing Veach either asked for them to eat cap and they said sure if you up the compensation and at that point Veach said no and Vikings said that they would take as is! Shame [Reply]
Veach isn't some johnny come lately, we have Morris and a 2nd rounder fighting for LT... there was always 0% chance we'd trade big for a LT
Robinson can get bent, our LT is already in house
I'm with you. Mahomes is starting to get comfortable the last 3 games. It's not a great idea to start over at Left Tackle, which would be the 5th LT guy in just 3 seasons.
I want Veach to make a move for a defensive back. The secondary looked vulnerable without Jaylen Watson against a pretty questionable Raiders offense. [Reply]

Let's be honest though, it looked vulnerable for 2 drives to start the game.
Which is exactly how it looked WITH Watson. They looked pretty dominant for the latter 3/4 of that game. [Reply]
We were never going to trade for a left tackle, they're all in with Morris and Kingsley for better or worse. I don't think Morris has the necessary athleticism for LT long term, could probably be passable there with some more seasoning if he can improve his technique enough to make up for a lack of athleticism but he's probably going to be a turnstile for the forseeable future against top pass rushers.
I wish Suamataia would get another chance this year but not sure that happens. I feel like we're going to be going into 2025 with LT being a question mark yet again but I hope I'm wrong. They really need one of these guys to be at least a middle of the pack left tackle sooner than later, can't have them getting beat instantly like they both have been prone to do this year. [Reply]
Here's how I see it. The O Line is good enough to make a deep run again. You have 4 studs and a questionable left tackle. You can work around that. It's not as if half the line is decimated by injuries and we are playing backups.
An immediate need becomes CB2 which was exposed against the faid and will be further exposed against Allen, Stroud or even Wilson. That's where a guy like Lattimore can be had for a 3rd. He fills an immediate hole and makes the defense complete. [Reply]

Gave up a TD in so-called garbage time at the end, which then led to a pretty dangerous onside kick situation with multiple KC fumbles before Noah Gray saved the day. The game should not have come down to that. [Reply]
