Nzoner's Game Room>A level Headed Review Week 11 2024
DenverChief 06:39 PM Yesterday
First - I am writing this without having watched - only listened to half of the 2nd quarter and half of the 3rd. Had to go on an airport run.

Second - we were going to lose at some point, we were fortunate our first loss wasn't last week, yes we made a play at the end of the game but the odds of a FG block ar astronomical. Unfortunate that the first loss comes against Buffalo but we still hold a one game lead against them for the #1 Seed. Buffalo still has to play the 49ers and the Lions of which could be at least one loss. Our schedule is much easier as far as opponents I am concerned with only Denver and the Steelers. I would rather lose to Buffalo now than in the playoffs.

The INT by Pat was just horrible. I get the pocket was collapsing around him but he needs to get better about air mailing passes. Have seen too many of those in the past couple of weeks. Glad to see the rest of the game wasn't

Worthy was the entire first scoring drive (except the Mike Caliendo for 5 yards :-)). It was almost as if the Chiefs decided to showcase the WR Buffalo traded to them. What a great drive for Worthy 4 receptions for 61 yards and a TD.

Noah Gray with his first multi touchdown game. Hendershot with another catch. I feel like he has made more of a difference with this offense than Wiley has.

The Defense seems to want to blitz Allen from the right side forcing him to his right, which is a huge mistake. Allen can make all the throws rolling to his right. Gotta find the way to pressure him and force him to the left.

N. Johnson got picked on quite a bit today but he managed to have a decent game despite this. The more experience he gets the better we will be as we approach the playoffs. Tied for team lead in tackles with 8 (Connor).

Connor had a great game got the timely INT on 4th down to give the ball back to the O which led to our second score. The Defense isn't getting home with 4 rushers. Hoping Omenihu is going to make more of a difference when he comes back.

Kinda felt like the Allen TD was a "let him score" situation so Pat could get the ball back and we could try again for the win with an onside kick or some other miracle play.

Juju really wasn't the impact I was hoping he would be coming back into the mix with Dhop and Kelce. Hoping Pacheco and Hunt can make us deadly in the running game. Worthy seemed to disappear after that first scoring drive. Hunt was running the ball well but for some reason we weren't using him during the two offensive series it was 16-14

First game in a long time where we lost the TOP 34:03/25:57 - still lost the TO battle 2/1

Didn't get a good look at the OL but they seemed to have done better as the game went on. The first Q was pretty shaky.

Everyone on earth knew Josh Allen was going to use his legs to get that first down... except the Chiefs defense.
I meant the tackling in the open field - Bolton and Cook tackles seemed very half hearted.

It was a stutter step.

They had the two minute warning and two timeouts. That was a piss poor effort of tackling by Bolton and the safety coming late.
Cook is always late. Not the same since his injury. I think everybody was surprised they actually ran a play. Was a very gutsy play on their part. Back to the grindstone.

I don't care that it's a meaningless regular season game when it's against that mongolid QB and fan base. Bury their asses every time!

Chiefs - Houston, at Pittsburgh, at Denver.

Bills - New England, Jets, at New England.
The league was also nice enough to give Buffalo a bye week and home field advantage on San Francisco in 2 weeks. The Niners don't have a bye week leading into that matchup.

Yeah, saw that. But we had a couple big plays called back, and Andy/Pat wasted some plays, even a couple drives. We know the Chiefs offense can play better than they played today.

And, maybe I'm in the minority, but I thought the Bills played pretty well today overall. They came out focused and ready to play big boy football. In some ways, the Chiefs did not.

I agree - I'm actually kinda glad we got it out of the way.

Huh? Buffalo was never kicking a FG there. That much should be obvious to everyone.

Every time I say this, I get 5 people that tell me to stfu. But I’m telling you guys Patrick Mahomes is not the QB he used to be. Our defense has been winning and keeping us in games for basically 2 seasons now. Worthy doesn’t have a defender within 20 yards of him and Mahomes throws a shitty pass that leads Worthy right out of bounce. You can’t tell me that Mahomes is a better QB right now then he was 3-4 years ago. Does anybody else notice this ??? Is it the fact that Tyreek Hill is gone?? Mahomes is a top 3 QB in this league. Which is great . I’ll take it. But it’s a huge step back from what he was

Your LT situation is a dumpster fire and has been for years.

We're literally 2 bad decisions by other teams away from 3 pathetic end of game losses in a row.

Tampa should have gone for 2 and we easily should have lost last week. It's at least a bit concerning how bad the defense has been in the 4th lately

The year after Tyreek left Mahomes was excellent (2022). Throwing dimes all over the field, offense was explosive despite not having “explosive” players

He won MVP and led the NFL in passing and won the SB. He hasn’t been the same Superman QB since, even though he’s shown flashes. He was better in 2023 than his stats show, his receivers were crap and dropped a ton of passes, ran bad routes, etc.

Well in 2024 the receiving corps while not stacked doesn’t struggle as much in route running and are FAR better at making catches than the 2023 group. But Pat is playing worse.

I think he has happy feet/timing is off because the OL isn't holding up like they used to giving him a clean pocket.

Also Buffalo plays their remaining games on Sundays, and are just now getting their bye.

Chiefs have black Friday short week vs Raiders. Saturday vs Houston then Wednesday vs. Steelers.
