The series was 4-0, but the games were all tight.
No I remember it that way too BUT... But we lost because you guys played small ball to a T. And got a few clutch hits at the right time, took the extra base, stole a base, threw a few runners out (Salvy killed us). We looked lost and ill prepared for you guys. Perhaps it was hubris, I was at the 2 games at OPACY, and … the crowd never got into it, and we just couldn’t do shit against your pitching. [Reply]

In Kauffman I’d feel better but that crackerjack box hurts our advantage with our good starting pitching. Their bullpen is bad and that could help in late innings. They have some good young hitters, and really their lineup is pretty deep but after their number 1 pitcher it gets pretty weak. Beat Corbin game one and it sure looks damn good.
A couple years ago they moved the left field fence way back, like 25-30 feet, and made it taller. It's still good for left handed hitters but it's now a tough place to hit HRs for righties. To the point I know a couple years ago the Yankees were complaining about it. [Reply]

Which might be similar to what the Royals might have if they move to the Crown Center site [Reply]

Yep, I remember it that way too. They were tough, tough games, but they were all close. [Reply]

Not O’s or playoff related, but I just read some good news. Been announced that players will go back to wearing their teams uniforms, hats and jerseys for the All Star Game. [Reply]
