Has anyone else witnessed these fans first ushers directing people to sit down at the stadium now? I was in section 308 today and some douche bag brought his 3 kids all under 10 years old and text the fans first hotline to complain that people in front of him were standing during the game. Obviously most of the section hated him, but fans first and security did everything they could to ruin the sections enjoyment so that he could see while sitting down with his arms crossed the whole game. Where did all of these douche bags come from that think they can just go sit in the upper deck the whole game for a little family fun day with your toddlers? I wish Gunther Cunningham was still alive to beat this douche bag senselessly. No surprise he was decked out in a KU shirt with nothing Chiefs related at all. If you know this man, please slap him and revoke his season tickets he claims to own.

That was the worst part was this was my nephews first game. He’s been told he couldn’t go until he was 10 because he needs to be tall enough to see the field anyways because we stand the whole game. I think that’s what pissed me off the most about the whole situation. I’m fine with you bringing your kids to the game, but don’t expect Arrowhead to adapt into a Wiggles concert for you. [Reply]

Not to turn this into an MU/KU thread, because I honestly don't care, but what the flying fuck has Mizzou EVER had to get excited about?
And yeah. Leave your fucking kids at home. That guy's not a dude. It's Karen in a mask. [Reply]

I mean, if you can't tell a player is out of bounds from multiple angles on TV, what's the point of standing in the upper deck to even see the game... this makes a lot of sense now. Was this guy yelling rigged towards the end of the game? [Reply]

Agree, we knew the deal before we ever bought tickets. Quite frankly, I think people really have fun with younger fans in the crowd. Yes, my sons both learned the saying, "What goes in Arrowhead, stays in Arrowhead", but I would never have expected anybody to act the same at a Chiefs game as they would a chess tournament. SHort of racial slurs or overtly cruel bullshit towards others in the stands, people need to toughen up and deal with it. My sons and I have attended away games too, and sure we got some fun heat from the fans around us, and that's fine, but it doesn't need to ever get over the top, and what you're describing isn't even close to being over the top.
Did the Fan Experience try to find different seats for them? [Reply]

The upper bowl has never reached a consensus on this one, IMO.
Lower bowl - you're absolutely right. Everyone stands or...well...fuck 'em. There's an accepted consensus as to the etiquette down there.
Up high is a different ballgame. Some spots sit, others stand, and LOT of folks get cantankerous up there about the folks standing around them. Not really sure why but I'm certain I don't care.
It's why I've never bought into the "Real fans sit up high" nonsense. It's just not true. There are WAY more of those dickbags in KU shirts who are just not into the game sitting up high than there are down low. [Reply]

I've been bringing my kids to games since they were 1. Brought girl twin (6 yrs old) yesterday, in fact.
She stands on the chair. She still shorter than a standing adult when she does that so no harm done.
There's no reason NOT to bring kids to the games UNLESS you're up in the cheap seats with the assholes that see Arrowhead as a spot to slam Fireball and enter the Thunderdome. The nosebleeds blow. [Reply]

That's been my experience, too... always standing in the lower bowl (and will usually only due so when people in front of me stand), while the upper bowl is 50/50. Even during the 2018 AFCCG in the upper bowl, people kept standing and sitting in front and behind, which was kind of annoying (everyone finally decided to stay standing late in the 4th and OT though). I remember people complaining about the standing during the no punt game in the upper bowl. [Reply]

I saw a couple Chiefs YT shorts at field level during the FG block and damnit I want to make it back there in January... the minor annoyance of being asked to sit is nothing, there's nothing like spending an entire day at Arrowhead. [Reply]
