Nzoner's Game Room>Hasaan Reddick trade?
O.city 11:55 AM 09-12-2024

From our Week 2 buzz file: Multiple league execs believe the #Jets will eventually need to explore flipping Haason Reddick via trade as the contract impasse has no end in sight.

So if you could do this for a late round (5th/6th) would you have interest in bringing him to KC if he wants to actually....play?

If it only happens with a deal, no thanks.

Was just more curious about a rental.

:-) The holdout is happening because he refuses to be a rental.

He'll clearly show up at some point. Otherwise they get to do it all over again next year.

Right. He'll show up, do the bare minimum to accrue this year, then dip. That's not worth trading any assets for.

Our current 5th round pick....didn't even make it thru camp on the roster.

You don't think he'd wanna show up and play well to get a contract next season?

He wants a big deal. He isn't doing shit without it

He's got void years so if I'm reading this correctly, you could put some of the money towards that as dead money in the void years.

No. Because first of all, there's no guarantee he'll be anywhere near form after sitting out for this long, second of all, it'll cost AT LEAST 7 million and that's if you get him at the deadline and don't have to give him some bonus money to make him happy.

No, it's not worth trading for him given the circumstances.

Where's the 7 million dollars come from?

Overthecap is showing the cap hit at 750k

Have no idea what they're showing, but his base salary is 14.5 million this year.

Haason Reddick will carry a $14.5M cap hit in 2024 until/unless the #Jets sign him to a new contract. https://t.co/zEX5eTKkGV

May have to do with him being on the NFLI list or something? I'm likely off on it.

Correcting this: The #Jets will take on $14.5 million of Haason Reddick’s compensation for 2024, the final year of his deal. The #Eagles foot the bill on the $1 million roster bonus that was due earlier this month. The hope is the sides work out a new deal soon.

Don't think any of it is guaranteed, all the GTD $ has been paid out.

Fuck him, let him sit out. No contract will give him his time back.
