-The defense was beautiful the last three quarters
-Kareem averaged 4.9 YPC when every other RB finished with less than 3 YPC. (HE'S BACK!!That looked like old Kareem to me.)
-Our young D-Jax, of who had a quiet last two games, had the best play of the game and closed the game out. (Very nice for his fourth game ever.)
With that said yes it was an ugly victory. But last year we dropped several of these games just like this one and this year we haven't dropped any. That in itself is huge. Traditionally in September Mahomes slaughters the league and he's 4-0 now.
At the end of the day an ugly win is better than a pretty loss. You are what your record says you are [Reply]

They were 6-1 through 7 games last year. Pretty good considering things were looking ugly from the very first game with that loss to Detroit. After starting 6-1, they lost 4 of the next 6 games and had a 8-5 record after 13 games. Hopefully they can avoid another rough patch like that. [Reply]

Weird things happen to teams trying to 3-Peat. The injuries are starting to add up. KC plays complimentary football, so there's a chance we'll be able to get past this. [Reply]
Before the season began, I posted how one of the major keys to the three peat for us would be to avoid the injuries as they have a way to take teams out. We found a way into the Super Bowl against Brady and Tampa Bay with a horrible 2nd and 3rd string Oline, only to get obliterated by a pass rush that chased Mahomes all game long.
My fear is we are having the same issue this year with our offensive weapons that will prevent us from what we need.
Lets pray that we suffer little to no major injuries moving forward but boy has this year been really rough.
It has been a very wobbly 4-0 start that has used up a few big breaks already. Some glimpses of good stuff, especially from our defense, but so far not a single great game. Mahomes has been anything but an MVP.
A truly bad 4-0 start happens when it's a team everyone knows is a mirage and will go away. We're the champs and will almost certainly get better. Last year we looked like this, but lost the games. [Reply]

That's 3 pass rushers capable of double digit sacks, with good linebackers and an elite all-pro level corner.
If we have to win ugly, we will. We did it last year, we'll do it this year.
Pretty good chance that Hollywood is available for the postseason too. Pacheco comes back soon, and they'll most likely deal for a WR. Worthy will get better and better throughout the season, like Rice last year.
The team doesn't need to be a juggernaut now. They need to be one in January.
Hell, they may not even need that (see last postseason). [Reply]
