When I was in cross country we learned a technique called the wounded animal.
When you wanted to mentally break someone that was gaining on you with a few miles to go you would exaggerate how tired you were, start breathing much more loudly, swing your arms like you were about to die.
Then let the person slowly gain on you for a while.
Right when they were finally going to pass you break into a full sprint and leave them behind.
You would break them and never see them again.
Right now the Chiefs (by accident) are pulling this off. [Reply]

They’ve been playing like this in the regular season for several years, yes
I will say this was easily the worst they’ve looked all of this season but I can’t say I’m worried at all (particularly if DJ proves to be some kind of solution at LT) [Reply]

I'm not going to lie, I turned the one who sucks the penis off after that second Raider touchdown. Checked the score a couple of minutes ago, figuring that since my phone hadn't blown up with ball busting texts they must have won.
And I really don't care what anybody else thinks about it. This team is playing like roasted ****ing stinking ass, and I'm sick of it. We won't be running into Carolina and Las Vegas in the playoffs, and this shit won't get it done.

I'm not going to lie, I turned the cocksucker off after that second Raider touchdown. Checked the score a couple of minutes ago, figuring that since my phone hadn't blown up with ball busting texts they must have won.

We won't have to play the Chiefs - everyone else will. And they don't handle it well. [Reply]
I hate watch this team at this point. There's nothing entertaining about this.
Every week it's just more really bad football and somehow we win. We aren't learning anything and nothing is improving. It's just gross.
Put me in whatever thread you want - this is not a good football team right now. They do WAY too many things poorly and it's way too easy to attack those things.
Good thing they don’t decide championships in meaningless November games then [Reply]

Or what the Raiders coach did when he gave Patrick Mahomes II an extra down. That was one of the dumbest penalty decisions I've ever seen. Has he never watched Patrick Mahomes II play? [Reply]

Yup, I think this is where we all are. I hate watching this team. It finds ways to win while doing so many things mind-numbingly wrong.
I was maniacally laughing when we won this game. And in an Arthur Fleck sort of way.

2022, you’re right. Also 2023 when we lost three or hour games in December. Also 2020 when we played eight straight one-score games to finish the season. Also 2018 when we lost like three of our last six or something lol
This is just what this team does. We lack urgency for major swaths of every season.
2021 and 2019 were only different in that we had our rough patches earlier in the season so we ironed it out by the end. [Reply]
