Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
He could’ve thrown it to Robinson for a TD as well but after two dropped passes I can see why he said no thanks. It’s insane!! He threw that ball before Kelce was out of his break [Reply]
I'm OK with him taking the check down there. That safety is clearly focused on Hill. There's enough space for a good throw to connect, but it's a bit riskier than the swing pass. [Reply]

I think maybe his criticism of himself is that he went to the check down that early.
He didn't really have pressure yet and there was a pocket to step up into. He steps up, lets an underneath route develop and then freezes that safety with his eyes before going over top of him, and the play design will have been absolutely perfect.
So I think he's saying he short-circuited the design of the play by hitting the check down early. He's not really wrong - but it's literally the first drive of live action since the Super Bowl so I'm not gonna criticize him either.
Game just hadn't quite slowed down for him yet. By the next drive it had. Keep that play in your pocket, Pat - it'll be there next time. [Reply]

Maybe we could spot other teams 14.
Still wouldn't be the same. He'd vivisect them just as badly, but it would look so easy.
The 2018 Patrick who played with his hair on fire ain't coming back. It's not necessary for him.
Maybe in 2025 if his line has fallen to shit, Kelce has retired, Hill has aged and he's having to carry the team like Rodgers in that 2011-2016 range. [Reply]
The great news is as we know if Pat ever needs to turn on 2018 Pat, then it's very easy for him to do-so. He just doesn't need to right now, but when that time comes, he'll be ready to put the cape back on. [Reply]
