Does Veach give him a call?

I predict @Chiefs. Makes too much sense https://t.co/hu5xdI5KF2

Chiefs have traded or missed on more top draft choices than hit.

If not for Kelce, Jones and Mahomes KC is not winning big. Veach was not the guy drafting these guys.

I like Veach. I do think he gets way too much credit and too much blame. Andy is in on everything and Spags too. Mahomes certainly has input.
I... don't understand where people are coming from with draft concerns when it comes to Veach.

Lets go down the list of failures in the top picks.

Hardman is a decent role player and returner. Maybe that's underwhelming for a 2nd rounder, but its far from a bust.

MEH was GOOD his rookie year until the injury with the Saints that I sincerely believe ruined him. I'd take it back because RBs in the first round aren't great value but whatever.

Moore is horrible, you're right on this one.

FAU is still a work in progress in my opinion. If he doesn't show it early next year, I doubt its happening. We'll see.

Same with Kingsley. It looks pretty bad now, but its way too early to call.

Worthy is doing fine, chill out. Mentioning him with the likes of Skyy Moore is ridiculous.

And even then thats a handful of guys that are "bad" picks compared to Bolton, Creed, McDuffie, Karlaftis, and Rashee Rice as successful top picks and the enormous amount of talent he's found after the first two rounds.

There's just, so little to complain about with Veach. Hes not perfect,, but he's damn close to it. I don't understand what he realistically should be doing better.

This guy kicks ass.

Humphries in a double team with the TE does a good job of giving help initially, but you can see the high football IQ he has to break off at the last second and hammer the LB. pic.twitter.com/UYYDtNe9VZ

From what I heard this has been the plan for over a month and he's known as long as everything went according to plan he'd be a Chief. With knowing this I think he's probably further along then most think.

I will be really surprised if this guy is more than a back up for Morris. They know Morris has been pretty good the last few weeks, but they need a back up for him. On the other hand I didn't think there was a chance he'd sign here. Maybe they told him he'd get the starting job in a couple of weeks. I think if Morris goes down and this dude plays well, then Morris ain't getting on the field again.

Your scale needs some way to account for round value imo. You can't just add up a bunch of Fs from 6th round picks and say "Wow look at all those Fs!" 6th round picks are supposed to fail. For what we got out of Allegretti as a 6th round pick, that's an A. Fs should be reserved for high round picks that do nothing like Skyy imo. Hardman maybe should be more like a C given how high he was picked.

Also would be interesting to stack up against a bunch of other team's drafts using the same methodology.

You're being pretty generous with FAU. He's well into his 2nd season and doesn't seem to have made much if any headway into fixing what will always hold him back as a pro, and that's his relatively glacial reaction to the snap. There's a lot of mediocre to bad in this DE rotation currently, and he's at the bottom of it.

It's possible to grade someone to this point - and if they didn't make the team....that doesn't mean it can't change - don't be such a douche.

It's not about the # of F's so much as the number of A's and B's - there are 6th and 7th round A's and B's
