Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
If you watch the all 22 of the Super Bowl you’ll see that the 9ers D line obliterated our o line all night (aside from whoever was lining up v Mitch, usually Dee Ford). Mahomes was under instant pressure on almost every play. The fact that we won this game let alone came back from 10 points down is a Mahomes miracle. [Reply]

There was nothing wrong at all with his 1st quarter. He gave the Chiefs an early lead.
He had some mistakes in the 3rd quarter. Go ahead and call that one bad.
Agree, first half was pretty solid against a great defense that had a ton of rest leading into the game. 3rd quarter and early 4th quarter was bad for sure. Last 8-10 minutes was epic. [Reply]

If Damien Williams forgetting to look for the football was the only thing that prevented us from having a halftime lead.
Hell, the stalled drive at the end of the first half I put entirely on Andy. Chiefs were moving before he called a draw, a jet sweep (against the speed of the 9ers defense) and then a screen pass. I still don’t understand what Andy was going for in that series. [Reply]

I'll say this before and I'll say it again - Andy's playin' chess when we're out there looking for checkers.
Andy on gameday, lads:
He runs stuff in the 1st and 2nd quarters specifically to see how a team will react to it so he can respond to that in the 2nd half.
Dude's a wizard. Remember that if you forget everything else when watching a Chiefs game. If he does something you don't understand - it's because you just don't understand it and he's better than you.
Sometimes things just don't work because the other guys are on scholarship as well. But there's ALWAYS a reason. [Reply]

I bet Hill scores on that play once he gets around the end. Everyone else is moving away from the corner of the end zone. By the time they recover Hill will be at a dead sprint for the corner. [Reply]
Yep. Everyone says he was behind 24-0 to Houston and played like crap until he caught fire. Yeah, well that deficit wasn't because Mahomes was playing badly. Heck everyone else but Mahomes was. [Reply]

Hes a lot better than joey... and Joey is good.
Incredibly, there's an argument that Eric Fisher did no worse against Bosa than the LT's for the Vikings and Packers. I think folks (slightly) underestimated Bosa due to an early season injury that slowed him down - when he's at 100%, 20 sacks seems very much in reach.
Against Cam Erving, DT's sack record may have gone down. [Reply]

If your question is strictly "Is Donald as good at playing DT as Mahomes is at QB" then there's a key omission.
Was ANYONE as good at their job last year as Josh Lambo was at his? Dude was nails. 97% hit rate, 4 out of 4 over 50 yards. Guy was as good a kicker as Donald was a DT last season. If you're awarding points for reputation and longevity, then Justin Tucker is probably the best kicker of all time and was still incredible last season.
And of course neither were in the top 100, because impact on the game matters. it isn't just about how well you do your job, it's how well you do your job and how important that job is.
There is NO reasonable argument to make that Donald has the impact on the game that Mahomes does. Just none at all. And even if you're of the belief that Donald is as good at DT as Mahomes is at QB (arguable, but I'll listen), the impact that QB has on the game dwarfs DT.
Ultimately it's a bunch of defensive players trying to boost their own station by putting a defensive guy at 1.1 in the hopes that someone will believe that defenders are still as critical as offensive difference makers. They ain't.
