Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
Kollman also called CEH a better James White out of the backfield at around 5:11:00 and spoke of him going to the Chiefs as a “nightmare” lol (this was 20 minutes before the Chiefs picked). [Reply]
Yeah if you listen early on they both list CEH as the best running back in the draft. They talk about how they were thinking about the landing spots for these guys and they said that KC and CEH was like a hushed whisper nightmare scenario.
Draft CEH in your fantasy teams high he's going to destroy. [Reply]

I like the Sproles comparison even better. Dude's been around forever and productive at nearly every opportunity.
He was high on my most coveted list for nearly a decade. [Reply]

They need to not go full Chiefs though. This franchise took Blackledge over Kelly and Marino, then got scared to try again for over 30 years.
The current Bears team seems very similar to that old Chiefs team. Great defense, questionable situation at QB. I guess they're hoping Foles (LOL) will be their version of Montana. [Reply]

I don't know about that. Since that infamous 1983 draft that scared off the Chiefs for so many decades, the Bears have drafted Jim Harbaugh, Cade McNown, and now Mitch Trubisky with their first round picks.
They've definitely misfired at the position, and for perhaps the most QB-inept team of the Super Bowl era you would expect they would have tried to fix the problem far more often than they did, but it's not the 1 1st round QB every 34 years approach that the Chiefs took. [Reply]
This is going to put Mahomes in school history curriculums someday. That is a pretty amazing thing.
An NFL executive on the phone with me Sunday: “Let’s put it this way: The second I saw him in that video, I knew Roger had to act quickly. Everyone, including all the owners, knows he’s the guy.” https://t.co/O8hYReWSx5
