Allen plays similar to Elway who played 15(?) years. Mahomes will play as long as he wants.
Elway was nowhere near as bold running as Allen, Many remember the Superbowl Helicopter run, but that was the exception. That's once a game for Allen, makes him tough to stop, but it remains to be seen how long he can continue at this pace and frequency. Cam lasted about 6 years... What's weird, he doesn't need to do it for them to be good offensively... [Reply]

As much as I hate Elway, but he was playing for a title in that entire game. Even on a rewatch the Packers were clearly the superior team, but that was the type of run you make at the end of the career to seal a title (because he certainly wasn't sealing it with his arm in that playoff run). From a running perspective Allen will probably be the shortest just because he takes way too many big hits. Many times he initiates contact. That’s going to take its toll over time. Lamar especially takes very few big hits. His arm is nowhere near Allen’s though. He needs a special offense built to his talents and very few teams run that. It only takes one big hit to change everything and if it’s on a designed run, that will be even worse. [Reply]
Allen's body can probably handle hits that Jackson and Murray can't. So I'd imagine he has a longer career. But it will take a toll eventually if he continues to run at this rate. [Reply]
Image if Mahomes played his first season. No worries though Mahomes is so far ahead of him in virtually every significant QB category (minus rushing) that he could sit a year and still be ahead of Allen. The way things are shaping up at the moment Mahomes is about to have a 2-0 lead on Allen in MVPs as well. [Reply]
