How can a dude do that? I'm not sure I've seen a QB come close to completing anything like that. Every QB ever has been insanely reliant on form that they couldn't even try that.
Rodgers has dome some ridiculous shit, but I've never seen anything like that. [Reply]

He just completely freezes the defense looking them off like that. They're all cheating to their right then, whoops, pass is to your left. Putting clown shoes on them. Unreal how talented he is. The funny thing is, he does this all throughout games and people don't really talk about it. Sure, they talk about the obvious ones, but he consistently looks people off. [Reply]
I really feel like Patrick is dialed in now at another level. Something has changed in the last two weeks.
He got his footwork right and he looks a lot more like he did in that Steelers game last year, which I think is still the best game he's ever played. And his field vision is off the charts right now. I mean, he made that throw, and last week had that one to Blake Bell. Yeah, he's seeing EVERYTHING.
What was that old stat about NFL QBs taking it to another level after a certain # of starts? Was it 25 or 35 or something? Well, Patrick just started and finished his 32nd game.
I think he is going to come out absolutely smoking red hot in the playoffs. Like, we may not punt against the Titans. Not like they stopped our offense much the first time.
The OL is going to have to shit the bed in a major way for this offense to be stopped in the postseason. [Reply]

Collinsworth referred to this during the broadcast on Sunday. Mahomes had made a little pass out to the RB, without even looking his way until the last second. He said, Mahomes just knows where everyone is supposed to be based on the defense he sees, expects the teammate to be in the right spot, yet is able to see things due to his peripheral vision. Mentioned that it was unreal and unlike anything he's ever seen. [Reply]

Of course this is the same analyst who said TruBUSTy is not much different from Mahomes. :-) [Reply]

Because he was groomed like a shortstop. A few qbs can make that kind of throw. Like Stafford or Russell Wilson. But I always laugh when they try to compare their guys to our qb. What those guys lack is the situational awareness to make that throw. Which is uncanny because mahomes is so much less experienced than those guys. Unlike those guys, mahomes not only has out of the this world talent, he's figuring out how and when to use it. Just as importantly when not to use it. I'm more impressed with his spidey sense to make the throw than I am his actually ability to make the throw. [Reply]
