Look at what happened to the Raiders and Derek Carr after Musgrave left. Carr went from throwing 32 and 28 TD's each year to throwing 22. The Raiders went from 12-4 in 2016 to picking in the top 10 in 2017.

If anything, that defense takes another step backwards this year. They dont have a replacement for Talib....

There hasn't been any A-list FA's lately, All Pro's like Ware and Talib rarely become UFA's. Cousins is the closet thing to an "A-list FA" to hit the market lately and the Vikings/Jets had twice as much cap space as Denver did.
They were thisclose to signing Calais Campbell a few years ago, but again, Denver had significantly less cap space than Jacksonville (the lack of income tax helped them too). [Reply]
