The #Chiefs are hiring Steve Spagnuolo as their new defensive coordinator, sources say. The former #Giants DC and interim HC/#Rams HC began his NFL coaching career as an #Eagles assistant under Andy Reid. Now rejoins Big Red in KC.

There's no way you go into next season just with Fuller, Ward and two rookies. This would be a terrible gamble.
Yep. And they have a similar situation at safety, honestly. [Reply]
I would just love if Veach could pull out trading 2020 picks for Peterson.
He has two years left on his contract, probably about two years left of playing in his prime and the Chiefs have a clear window to win the SB the next two years. [Reply]

At safety, they could just sign a good FA safety and be OK. I'm hoping they can do more than that but you pair let's say Collins or Amos with Watts and Lucas/Murray as backups and it could be decent. [Reply]

Yeah, they don't have the number problem they do at CB but moreso because you need more CBs than S. Veach has his work cut out for him. The entire secondary needs rebuilt. [Reply]

I can definitely see where it is possible if not probable that we will see that happen.
Speaks had a better 1st year than Ford did in his 2cd. Not saying Speaks could be the pass rusher that Ford can be, but Speaks will be better against the run.
Nnadi appears to have his spot at the NT/DT spot locked down. If he continues to improve he will an impact. He just can't be jumping offsides. IIRC he had a little problem with that last season or he would have played more earlier.
DOD showed some good flashes last season in limited time. If he is the starting WLB like most expect he could/should definitely part a big part.
If Lucas or Watts stay healthy they showed enough to believe that they would be an improvement over last season. [Reply]

Peterson is approaching 30 and AZ is in full rebuild mode. If Arizona really wants two firsts for him then damn them to hell.
Hope that franchise is a dumpster fire for the next 30 years. [Reply]
