I know there are enough of us to participate in this thread, even when our seasons inevitably go to shit.
KSU vs Western Illinois today, tip-off at 3:00 pm.
One thing I noticed near the end of the game on Friday night - we had 5 true freshman on the court, and still played sound basketball. None of them were scrub walk-ons either. While I don't think we will make a serious run at anything this year, the foundation is being laid for a solid program in the future. [Reply]
Anyone with access/opportunity/ability/etc to get to the airport/rally, I beg you to go and cheer them home. No way I can, but implore those that can, to. [Reply]
Damn damn damn. F*cking Butler. Just couldn't hit anything and Butler's a damn good team, we made too many mistakes & Butler capitalized on it. They basically did the same thing to us that they did to Syracuse, slowed the game down, hit key shots and played great defense.
Butler earned it. You can't take anything away from them. I can't really be unhappy. Never thought the Cats would win 29 6&;1-. Posted via Mobile Device [Reply]
Man barring any stupid off-season crap happening...next year looks pretty bright for both football and basketball. Came a long way from the mess Prince and Weefer put K-State through. [Reply]

Gonna be another fun season for fans of the local teams.
I sincerely believe that next year is the end of KU's 6 year streak at the top of the Big 12... we will be good enough to get a 5-8 seed in the NCAA tourney...
KSU, could be a top ten team again... and Mizzou is easy a top 25 team. [Reply]

Agreed. Hats off to Butler. Many thanks to the Cats. Excited for next year. Who knows, might even pick up enough fans to be capable of starting some game-only discussion threads. [Reply]

Meh. Passing judgement too early. KU could still be good next year. [Reply]

Syracuse was the 1, they played the early game. [Reply]

I would be very surprised if KU isn't a top 10 team with their returning talent and likely Josh Selby at PG. KSU could be ranked in the top 5 to start the year. [Reply]
I took a bit of time to cool off, but it's not easy. 2 things quickly.....how in the world did Kelly only get one post up the entire second half. That's is inexplicable. Second, I can't remember a player shrinking from the moment more than JS tonight. I think he committed that last foul to get out of the game. I've spoken to a couple of people that felt the same way. He really needs to get his stuff squared away mentally if he wants to be a big contributor next season again.
That said, amazing season, amazing ride, and I couldn't be more happy about what's Frank's done for the program. Credit to Butler...they did the same thing to us that they did to Syracuse, and that's not an accident. The game was a carbon copy to the Cuse game. I'll be pulling for them in Indy. [Reply]
