I wonder why they are throwing more at him than a normal no. 3 gets?

Are they trying to speed up the process? Seems like it.

Pretty interesting that multiple guys think Pat will take 2 years to develop into a starter for Andy. Even guys that absolutely love him like Gruden.

I bet Andy wants to get Pat ready by next year, if possible and that's why he's giving him so many reps.

Great moment in that podcast in post 3714 talking about Alex struggling and then Pat comes in and throws a deep ball dime on his first play that had the Chiefs coaches fired up and yelling out loud about it.

Exciting stuff.

You're gonna have to link me to where gruden said anything about it taking two years.

Gruden said 1 year of fundamentals, conditioning and experience.

He's nowhere near the project Favre was. Favre was set in his ways and had an entire year in Atlanta doing what he wanted.

Favre was also really football stupid in his youth. A Football Life:Brett Favre was on Thursday night and it showed Holmgren continuously screaming at Favre to quit playing "rocketball". You could tell Favre was winging it out there, which I don't see 2PM doing under Andy.

Favre also didn't know what nickel defense meant in his first year in GB. He had to ask Ty Detmer on the sideline and Detmer was like "WTF are you seriously asking this?!" :-)

"There's more than just stepping back and throwing the football," Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. "That position we've grown into a pretty tough thing to pick up right away."

This is why I don't want to rush the kid.

The biggest difference between Favre and Cutler is Favre's strong performances far outweighed his poor performances. While he did struggle with turning the ball over, Favre was always good at turning a bad situation into something good. Cutler has shown flashes throughout his career that he can be an elite quarterback, but he has failed to live up to expectations.

Cutler took the Bears to the NFCCG and he didn't give a **** about anything. He could have been so much better if he would have had a good attitude.

The podcast was great there from Terez. Kiper seemed to really know what he was talking about regarding the Chiefs, and I think the A-Team made a good point talking about the WR competition.

Can't wait for St. Joe this year. We are sure to have to cut some really solid players, unfortunately.

Gruden: "It might take 3 years for Mahomes to take the job from Alex". I sure don't think/ hope it will take that long.

Cutler has zero passion for the game.

That's called, "tactfully throwing Smith a bone".

Neither, I'm a Dodge Ram guy... sold them for 4 years and was always impressed with them, not only are they tough trucks but I've always thought they were better looking than the other guys
