Mahomes era is coming, Donkotards...might as well decide, now, if you want lube up or take it dry.

"Whether it was 7-on-7 or any of the 11-on-11 team periods, Mahomes was firing the ball all over the field and connecting with his receivers at every level.

Mahomes dropped a beautiful pass over the outside shoulder of receiver Marcus Kemp on a deep corner route, and a bit later in practice, he fired the ball across the middle through traffic to tight end Travis Kelce, who snagged it out of the air for another 15-20-yard reception through a tight window.

Mahomes had one improvisational throw back across his body that was head-turning as well. After leaving the pocket and scrambling out to his left, Mahomes threw back right across his body to the middle of the field to Chris Conley coming across the field."

Looks like the Vikings WRs are enjoying playing with Cousins...

The ball comes out of [Cousins'] hand differently," Thielen told me with a smile after Wednesday's OTA practice, the second open to reporters this spring. "Every quarterback has their strengths and weaknesses, and I'm not here to evaluate that, but all I can say is, the ball comes out of his hand differently.

"(Stefon) Diggs said it the other day -- the spiral he puts on it just makes it easy for us to catch. It just kind of pops out of his hand differently than you're used to, and you don't see that kind of stuff on film. You can only see that when you're out here practicing. It's been fun, and we have a lot of work to do.

Glad to see everyone is happy with their new QB's!

“Confidence is very, very important and presence . . . is important,” Gruden said. “It gives other players confidence, and the whole job a quarterback has is obviously getting the most out of the people around you. That’s what I think he does as good as anybody. He’ll get the most out of the tight ends. He’ll get the most out of the backs. He’ll get the most out of the receivers and offensive line because they’re going to want to play for him and they’re going to feel confident that he’s going to make something happen in a positive way or at least give it everything he’s got and take responsibility if something doesn’t work out. [He’s] just a great leader-type guy and a good person, good player, that players all seem to react well to and play well with.”

Nobody ever said Smith wasn't a good person...you know who else is a good person, my hair stylist. The only difference is she didn't usher in two of the biggest post-season collapses in 5 years.

Smith is what he is, a safe QB choice that wont get anyone fired.. and an almost certain early play-off exit.

Denver is nearly unbeatable at home in September. It has EVERYTHING to do with altitude and teams not being in shape. Especially since camp time was reduced. Even very bad Denver teams won those games. 21 fucking times starting with 3 early games at home :-) ONCE with road games :-). TEX and I were right about the league giving them a cheap advantage, but I didn't realize it was THAT bad.
All those records knowmo brags about look pretty fucking irrelevant now. We've said The ONLY reason Denver avoids long losing droughts is that cheap air. Now it's been proven. Thread over.

Bullshit. That cheap advantage is nearly gone (still cheap, but lessened) late in the year. In SEPTEMBER it's a monumental difference due to conditioning. It's gotten worse since camp time was reduced. Now we know the league obviously tries to intentionally gift Denver a fast start. No arguing that anymore.

Chiefs newly acquired CB David Amerson says Patrick Mahomes is “as good as advertised.” Says he makes wow throws, makes plays he says he’s never seen before.

Wouldn't it be nice to read these types of tweets about your journeyman QB..instead of his rare ability to get people to huddle up.

Rest of AFCW 48

Nothing to see here...

20 times 3 out of 4 at home for Denver
21 times Raiders/KC/Chargers combined.

Again, nothing suspicious...you are imagining it.
Exactly. Ive been talking about this literally for over a decade, and during that time span, it has gotten worse. Clear advantage - no question. Also no coincidence.

No, it doesnt "even out" when just about every year Denver enjoys a distinct advantage to start the season, being gifted with a front loaded home schedule. Way more of an advantage to get off to a good start. Once out in front, anything can happen. Again, give me an advantage at the beginning of any race and the chances are better that some will carry over to the end.

You and I have had this discussion for more than a decade. The fact that we are still having it means it has never evened out. Dig deeper into the numbers and even you might be amazed at how much of an advantage Denver has enjoyed by getting to play a front loaded home schedule season after season.

So, are we going to debate levels of cold now? Antartic chill 24/7 - no, you're correct.

To be fair, you did lose the coldest game at your stadium you’ve had yet.

To our backups. :-)

Believe the coldest game in Denver was less than 10 degrees back in the '70s.

Either way, regarding all the back and forth of what does or does not even out - I'm talking team specific. If Denver's a bad team, they may have an inflated start, but it will come back to earth. See McDaniels year 1.

How many of these teams were really 8 win teams, but because they started off with 3 of 4 at home, they finished with 11 or 12 wins? I'd say very few if any, it just isn't reasonable.

What isn't reasonable if how a 0-48 discrepancy even happens. To suggest it's a "fun conspiracy theory" is discounting that it IS an actual conspiracy. You dont get numbers that far out of whack unless it's deliberate.

Why the NFL feels compelled to continue to do this...when they know it's unfairly advantageous to Denver early in the season is the real question.

Your crappy-ass team blew the doors off Dallas..they looked like world beaters. They then proceeded to go 2-11.
