Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

OMPM(oh my Patrick Mahomes) he is so fucking awesome. It feels even better since I was hyping him up like crazy his rookie year and had everyone tell me how many ints hed throw, how bad his fundamentals were, and how his game wouldn't translate to the NFL. Eat my ads doubters. I shit down your throats. [Reply]

Funnily enough, Romo said as much during the 2018 AFCCG. Said Bill B’s pre-snap stuff was tripping Patrick up and he wasn’t at the level Brady was to adjust his offense pre-snap. Mahomes and Andy figures it out in the 2nd half - and Patrick never got slowed down to that degree in the 2019 playoffs. [Reply]

First 1st round QB drafted by the Chiefs in a 34-year span. First Chiefs drafted QB to win a game since Todd Blackledge. First Chiefs QB to win league MVP, throw for 5000 yards, 40+ TDs... etc etc. First Chiefs QB to win a Super Bowl (and SB MVP) in 50 years. The
However, another ground-breaking stat I heard the other day. Maybe people knew about this one, but it's the first time I've heard it.
Technically, Mahomes is the first Big XII QB to go to a Super Bowl. And I guess, win a Super Bowl. Ever.
Again, technically...
Troy Aikman was at Oklahoma, but transferred to UCLA. He was drafted as a UCLA QB, so I guess he's not a Big XII QB even though he actually is?
But before him, to find a guy to even make a Super Bowl, there's one. Just one. Vince Ferragamo out of Nebraska. And that only counts because Nebraska was once a Big XII school. Obviously when Ferragamo did it with the Rams, the Big XII was still the Big 8.
