I will somewhat agree with this. I wasent giving overeem enough credit last night for his standup. I did not know he was a k1 champion. pretty badass. however jds' boxing skills were considered some of the best in the ufc in any weight class in the ufc up till last night cain made him look like an amateur. I just think cains relentless cardio, worldclass wrestling, and very good standup skills will allow him to hold the belt for awhile. overeem only beats him in the first 2 minutes on a punchers chance knockout. jds didnt look like the same jds last night. I was really perplexed by his showing.
anddont kid yourself overeems been juicing for the past 5 + years. prolly like over half the ufc test or 'bolic boosts im just saying. u cant practice mma for 4 + hours a day and lift weights and jump from 190 to 250lbs 5% bodyfat while making weight for fights. dude has definitely been on and off something for awhile. This is fair. JDS does have some of the better boxing in the UFC. His biggest problem was, he was getting good looks in the 1st round until he seemingly dumped. He had no technique and he gassed. Cain was gassed during round 3 as well. But I credit that to him trying to finish. I'm not saying that Cain is a bad fighter. He has good wrestling and a solid striking game, I'm just saying that Overeem is a much much closer fight than you think it is. Also in 5+ years its completely attainable for Overeem to jump 60 lbs. Hes a world class athlete. He eats a lot of protein packed horse meat and has a very strict diet and weight training regimen. I read an article on it on a bodybuilding website with an interview with him discussing how he got that large. Now I will also say you're probably right, there is a lot of doping going on in sports and they are easily accessed now and people are hired to come in and manage their cycles so they're not caught. but he was cleared for his only positive test for testosterone that came from raised levels in a medication he was taking for his injured ribs. Chael Sonnen tested 16:1 as well. [Reply]

damn horsemeat? I gotta get me some of that! lol
overeem will most likely smash bigfoot. dude sucks.
id like to read that article if you can ever find it that sounds pretty interesting.
I just dont see how he or anyone for that matter can gain 50 + lbs of all muscle while still training mma all day. you/he would have to be eating legitimately like a gorilla. lol [Reply]
some of the best athletic genetics on the planet coupled with amazing dedication to lifting, mma training and eating, I guess its possible. I dunno tho man id say hes been on something unnatural at some point in his career. that still doesnt take away from his shear dedication though. im an overeem believer now. still think cain will just out wrestle him though. itll be a great matchup [Reply]

Honestly, they both looked pretty gassed after the 1st round. It's an example of why i'll never throw good money at a UFC heavyweight fight. These guys are so big and hit so hard that typically the first solid punch or two finishes the fight...and if the fight isn't finished then it drags on because they're too gassed to finish it. [Reply]
