Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

The Chiefs have re-signed WR Gehrig Dieter. He’s back in the fold for further development with the Super Bowl champs after finishing the season on the practice squad.

Either way, you are definitely right. Drafting solely winners" in college rarely is a good idea. Draft players who have a pedigree of success and skill at their position.
Even though he was a sub .500 QB in college, Mahomes put up points. Tons of points. Record breaking amount of points. And nobody gave a shit because his defense was so shitty. So in my book, he's always been a winner anyway. He can't play defense.
It's funny how all the "winners" in college suck huge horse cock in the NFL
Tim Tebow
Colt McCoy
Greg McElroy
Johnny Manziel
AJ McCarron
Josh White
Ken Dorsey
I love the contrarians - they will say anything to pump the breaks on Pat. But comparing him Doug Williams - come on, he threw for 20TDs once in his year. [Reply]

In fact, we're being insulting to Pat by comparing him at this stage of his career to where Elway was at the same point.
Mahomes is so far ahead of where horseface was at this point in their careers that it's ridiculous to even compare the two.
Yeah i wish the Elway comparisons would stop. Elway doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Mahomes. Elway was never on Mahomes' level. [Reply]
What a crazy time. I should feel sympathetic to teams that are married to DeShaun Watson and Dak and Josh Allen. Hell, that's a hell of a lot better than being tied to Matt Cassel. They still give you an outside chance of winning something big. But man, now I know what it feels like to resent the spoiled fans in New Orleans, green bay, indy, and New England who walked into every year as an actual favorite to win the whole thing. I am sympathetic but mostly laughing now that I'm on the other side.
I mean, we're slightly nervous about mahomes competing with very limited cap dollars. Can you imagine having the same situation with an average qb? [Reply]

Tech's offense had some NFL caliber players on it, i think there about 6 from that squad that are either still in the NFL or had short NFL careers. Nothing really worth noting though. But like you said Defense was pure dog shit. The game that really made folks sit up and take notice was the bowl game of Tech vs LSU. Mahomes made the game interesting with one amazing play after another, While Leonard Fournette was abusing Tech's defense. Mahomes couldn't pull the rabbit out of the hat enough times that game.
