Wonder if the Royals will do a Hosmer day now. Especially since they're celebrating the 2014 team this year. They'll definitely do something next year for the World Series team. Hosmer will be in the Royals HOF one day. No matter what happens his 9th inning in game 5 against the Mets will be legendary forever. [Reply]

Yeah, it was fun having them and Cone won a Cy Young, but it ultimately didn't get us anywhere.
Setting that anecdote aside, you don't trade a young everyday potential superstar for a young phenom pitcher whose arm could blow out and go craps anyday.
