With RB Isiah Pacheco expected to be sideliend 6-8 weeks, the Chiefs are bringing their former RB Kareem Hunt back to Kansas City for a Tuesday visit, per league sources. Hunt could help fill the Chiefs’ running back void. pic.twitter.com/nDzNGlrcuH

Hunt JUST turned 29 a month ago: 1030 Rushes and 226 receptions.

Comparison:
McCaffery-28, 1297 Rushes and 509 receptions.
Henry-30, 2061 Rushes and 156 receptions.
Jonathan Taylor-25, 953 Rushes and 125 receptions
Barkley-27, 1247 Rushes and 294 receptions
Josh Jacobs-26, 1353 Rushes and 199 receptions

Pacheco-25, 409 Rushes and 64 receptions

While Hunt might be washed talent wise, his age and carries say he has plenty left in the tank.

Just being invited to Arrowhead for a visit shows forgiveness, if necessary. Familiarity with Steelers and Browns has some value

Yes, I forgot how difficult it is to decipher whether a Butker/Kareem Hunt analogy to LeBron/Curry is serious. My mistake entirely.

See, this ridiculous instant pressure from the blind side, it just isn't acceptable.

The best qb on the planet was held to his fewest passing yards in a game that he played start to finish. Threw 3 bad interceptions, luckily having one wiped away by a penalty.

Not only is having a 15 that is uncomfortable, pressing the issue bad, but we haven't even begun to talk about the safety risk. How long before he gets 15 obliterated?

Trey Hendrickson absolutely shoved his fist up the rookies ass and worked his mouth like a puppet on Sunday. He's not ready for the big boys yet.

If you review this rape session and still don't see a problem, find someone to watch the games with that can help you understand what you're seeing take place on the screen.
It's a 2nd round rookie LT from a non power 5 school, starting his 2nd game. I'd say giving the guy more than 2 games would be on the docket.

If he's not ready, sure ok, yeah go elsewhere. I'd hope you could have seen that before now as an organization but who knows.

If I had known a Butker/Hunt tweet spliced with a video of LeBron/Curry would upset you this much, I of course would never have posted it. What do you take me for?

I'd guess they offer him the vet min and see how serious he is about trying to redeem himself.

It's not like talent simply evaporates.

Did he ever have a serious lower body injury.

It would seem a little strange for him to have fallen off as hard as he did, as early as he did, without much of a workload.

I mean he was 27ish when he fell to hell, no? I know he had a calf issue but damn, he was 26 at the time. A calf shouldn't fell a guy like that.

Then again, we try to talk ourselves into stuff like this all the time and 99 times of out 100, the guy's actually washed.

We would probably still be promoted before Sunday

He was always somewhat borderline from a speed perspective of being able to play anyway.

Oh it usually does.

That really stupid ESPN show Playmakers did the best job ever of demonstrating exactly how.

The 'Old Warhorse' runningback spent the series trying to prove he was still as good as he used to be and was every bit as good as the new hot shit kid. And then in the last episode of the season, a hole opens up and he breaks into it.

I don't remember how they did it, but they contrasted him getting through the hole as a younger back with the version of him now that was just a half a step slower. And when he got there, the hole slammed shut.

The problem with a talent diminution is that the results aren't linear.

You fall off 10% in talent, you're not 90% as productive. When that happens, you're probably just not an NFL player anymore. Because you needed every last bit of that talent to clear that NFL ability threshhold.

If Hunt's fallen off 10%, he's not 90% of the player he once was. In fact, he'd be lucky to be HALF that guy.

Yeah, talent absolutely simply evaporates sometimes. Most times, in fact.

But hey, maybe Kareem is an outlier.
