The sports card market is absolutely booming right now. I sold off enough of my other stuff to buy this. There are only 10 of them. It is indescribably beautiful.
Kelce is exploding in value right now as well. I could say many products tripled in value the past week. Kelce base prizm rc's 2 weeks ago were averaging about $30. Now a great raw card goes for $80-100. Prizm and Select silvers are just raking in good cash. Color has crazy prices too. [Reply]

Way cool! Wondering if they have one with just Dawson and Mahomes? [Reply]
Some pretty interesting/big recent news in the sports card world. With the Covid fueled absolute explosion of high end sports cards in 2020, there are now establishments offering fractional ownership in high end collectibles (similar to BitCoin). If you're not sure what this is, I have included a link to an article below, but it basically allows you to purchase a small percentage of say a Mickey Mantle rookie card that normally runs for $60,000-$200,000 or even more. I have my reservations about this as I believe it will drive prices to levels that the casual collector cannot afford. I'll be interested to see if this takes off or falls flat on its face.

I generally do not buy cards purely as investments though, and if I did it damn sure would not be during an obvious spike driven by completely unrelated events. If I buy a specific card, it's because I like the looks of it and want it on the shelf or available to be. It might not even be the card others deem to be valuable or the rookie card everyone deems as the true rookie card, but it's the card I wanted to look at. They could fall to $2 and I really wouldn't care.
Owning 1/10 of some card in some other part of the globe just seems odd to me. There's no conversation to be had if a guest notices it. There's no "remember game X at the K when..." comment to be had. The emotional attachment to the game and the player is gone. Just seems boring to me. [Reply]
I have a bunch of 90's cards is boxes and some in a safe.
Are any of these worth anything today? How would I go about looking up their value if they are? I know in the 2000's they basically went to nothing in value outside of the very rare ones. I haven't looked at them in a decade. [Reply]
I’d like to buy a few cards to hold onto, but I don’t know a safe place to buy them. Where would you guys recommend ? Also and players or cards you could recommend ?

I have piles of them as well and sorted a few when this rally started. If they're not graded, they better be a special card and look mint. Last I checked the waiting list for grading was insane so it would mean paying the fee and waiting months before you know if you actually had something. I sold a couple cards "as is" to a local guy and felt lucky to get what I thought was good money. [Reply]
You guys ever do one of these online breaks? You bid on a team, the seller opens the packs/cases on a livestream, and you get any cards from the teams you won in auction. [Reply]
