This is a great thread. Mahomes clearly did not suck most of this game. The 49ers just made things really difficult and we had some bad luck in spots - until the magic ending.
I think some people are conflating two things. The first 3 quarters of the game were among the worst, maybe the worst 3 quarters we have seen Mahomes play. That doesn't mean he sucked for 3 quarters it just means he was not the guy we are used to seeing. Mahomes worst 3 quarters are still better than the average starting NFL QB. And in the 4th he went back to being himself. [Reply]
Question...does Mahomes need his knee cleaned up this off-season? I wasn't sure if it just healed over time or think he will get some procedure done. [Reply]
On GMFB this morning they said Pat and Brittany went out for a meal together at a restaurant in Miami and nobody bothered them and just let them have their dinner. When they got up to leave they turned around and Pat thanked everybody for that. When he promptly checked out he had paid everybodys bill. The people didn't know until they checked out.

Think one of the networks had said he will get it checked out. Seems a lot have said earlier in the season that it's safe to play on but surgery in many cases can basically eliminate reinjury risk almost entirely. [Reply]

It didn’t happen in KC either. It’s the same tale told about Troy Palamula in Pitt several years ago.

Probably all depends on the recovery time. If he doesn’t need the surgery and it’s going to wipe him out for the whole offseason, I’m not sure that it’s a smart move. [Reply]
