I started the winning game day thread the next week after we lost the Bills game last year
I'm here again to start a new beginning, to bring home that 3peat. If I win, I'll continue to start the threads until Clay is ready to bring them home.

But the secondary? That's a problem.
Offense is playing well, defense not so much.

I was told it was going to be a blowout
:-)
Offense is hella ass, but it gets the job done.
Reid just works the clock and absolutely nobody sees it lol

It's not so much the penalties called, but those *not* called that shape the game.
Cunthers OL were allowed to hold the Chiefs DL, and the Cunthers DBs were allowed to hold Chiefs receivers all game, wihtout a flag.
The obvious PI on the Cunthers DB in the last 2 minutes is just a small part of what was done the entire game.
The cheating allowed evens the talent disparity of the teams, and provides the excitement the NFL pays the refs for.

How was the offense hella ass? Did you watch the game at all?
The defense was the entire reason the game was close.

On the bright side this was a game the offense had to win and they did. So there is that...

The lack of a pass rush outside of Jones and blitzes is, I think, as much an issue as the secondary. Or DEs are giving us absolutely nothing.

most encouraging thing today is this: Mahomes has 12 TD’s and 3 INT’s th e last 5 games.
We’re seeing him start to heat up. Getting Hollywood, Humphries and Pacheco injected into this offense should make it ever better.
Offense looks significantly better than it did this time last year

It’s not so much the number of flags, it’s the type of flags. A 40 yard pass interference (followed by another pass interference on the 2 pointer) on KC defense. Right after this we saw Carolina get away with mugging Xavier Worthy 30 yards downfield. A bunch of holding flags on Chiefs OL, but zero holding flags on the Carolina OL. A punt return penalty on KC that cost the Chiefs 40 yards of field position. Etc etc etc

Pacheco will be a huge lift to the offense and D Hop is starting to settle in.
Just need to hope we can get DJ Humphries starting soon as Wanya looks like he is holding on for dear life.
Not worried about the defense, they just need to work on the 3rd down plays as we approach the playoffs.

As expected, close game for absolute no reason.

Worthy is progressing the same as Rice did as a rookie last year which is helping the offense.
Hollywood is a veteran version of Worthy who can beat man coverage. Getting him back will change the offense dramatically

Chiefs were outscored in the second half for the second time this season (also the second time in as many weeks).
