We had a screening of Thank You For Your Service last night as well as a Q&A session with SSG Schuman, the main character, and the writer/director (also wrote American Sniper). Very depressing, eye-opening movie about the profession I’m about to join. Their goal is to help open communication between civilians and veterans about the mental issues they face. [Reply]
Watched American Made yesterday. I really liked it. Yeah it's a Tom Cruise movie, but imo he has lots of good movies and he played his part well. Lots of stuff I was too young to understand about the whole Iran/Contra scandal worked. [Reply]

That movie was total garbage. I admit I haven’t played the games but Christ other than some action (which was over the top) and special effects there was nothing redeeming about the shitfest. Normally Fassbender does his thing despite writing but I literally had no idea what they were trying to convey at any given moment with his performance. And he’s the only one that showed anything at all.

Yeah I couldn't even finish Assassin's Creed lol. Turned it off after 30 minutes.
Really looking forward to Three Billboards Outside Ebbing , Missouri . Reviews have been praising it as one of the best films of the year and I really dig the director (In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths) [Reply]
