I'm all for Chad Kelly doing the unthinkable and not be the glorious douchebag that made him undraftable... but, I'm not counting on it. He may very well be better than Lynch, but that's not saying much. Kid has talent, but there's a reason he wasn't drafted and it wasn't talent.
There is one thing about Mahome's upbringing that I think is understated...as a child, during his formative years, he was exposed to HOF baseball players on a regular basis...going about their daily routine. It was normal to him...
He even brought up that he remembers being shocked that Jeeter and A-Rod were there 4 hours before a game...that he learned that even once you reach the pinnacle of your profession, that the work didn't end there. That it took constant dedication to maintain that level of excellence.
That's quite the rare life experience...
Talk is cheap but PM actually has the natural, rarified ability to be as good as he wants...and Reid has mentioned several times that he has the "desire" to be great.
Brendan Langley, the Broncos' guest for the day through the Make A Wish program, said that he was just excited to be on the field, and that Sutton's damage to his wheelchair was minor and could be repaired. [Reply]

(Garrett actually tied him in sacks)
Four players from NC State defensive line were drafted in the first four rounds this year, any chance Clowney (SC) and Garrett(A&M) might have received a little more attention from the opposing offenses? [Reply]

Probably why he didn't have the sack totals of the other guys referenced from prior drafts. [Reply]

That usually works in the opposite fashion...When Julius Peppers was drafted #2 in 2002...KC followed drafting Ryan Simms #6. They both played for NC. Simms had 5 tackles his rookie season...and was a major bust.
Does Miller play better when he has talent next to him? Maybe Chubb made them look better...but I doubt he made all four look great.
Like I said before...he should be a very good player but he's not known for sacks.
Donko homers dreaming of a "pick your poison" scenario where CHubb has to be double teamed probably dont understand that his strength is defending the run. [Reply]
