Nzoner's Game Room>***** The Official Chiefs vs Panthers GameDay Thread *****
BigRedChief 12:01 AM Today
I started the winning game day thread the next week after we lost the Bills game last year

I'm here again to start a new beginning, to bring home that 3peat. If I win, I'll continue to start the threads until Clay is ready to bring them home.

DBs were playing off all day. I’m not sure why. Made him look much better than he actually is.

Defense played like crap and the refs allowed Carolina OL to hold all day, while calling some pretty big flags on Chiefs OL and secondary.

DJ Humphries will help a lot (Wanya was directly responsible for a couple sacks). But today Juwaan in the second half was simply atrocious. It was his worst half of football by far.

Back when Gannon was their QB? Yeah, I hated those days.

Yeah, if the OL didn't shit the bed in the 2nd half this was an easy W.

They made it much harder than it had to be.

Game was fucking awesome. Mahomes was fucking awesome. What a grind.

Boger's crew is terrible. But that's the reality a BTB SB champion has to endure. Teams with nothing to lose will be up for the chiefs all day, every day. Fuck them. $10 says Carolina gets waxed next week in a let down. They host the BUCS.

Also, if you don't turn the ball over, you can win.

Like DJ has said when you play 75-80 or whatever percent, all you're doing is adding more snaps to your body, more hits, and making yourself more susceptible to injuries. It would be a dumb strategy if that's what they're doing purposefully.
I never said purposefully... It's just hard to get up for the regular season, especially when you are the 1 seed after 10 games. They try to jack themselves up I'm sure, it's just really hard to do. Then you have the midget throwing dimes today an under pressure to extend drives, they took Carolina's and Bryce Young's best shot and won with another pedestrian effort.

There’s quite enough hot air on here without me adding more very often. I’m well entertained.

Yep, Spags had a lame plan today. Also, I don't think we blitzed more than once. And we got burned on that one.

I think the Panthers are probably not as bad as their record, and they were playing the Chiefs at home, probably heard all week how they were gonna get rolled. They just wanted it more, but Pat came through in the end.

I was still more optimistic after that game than I am now. I knew we had a smothering defense and I figured Mahomes, Kelce, and Reid could find a way to score 24 points in any game if we needed it.

Right now we have a swiss cheese secondary, no pass rush, and we can't protect Mahomes for more than 2 seconds. Hopefully DJ Humphries helps with one of those. No idea what to expect from Omenihu. No solution in sight for the secondary.

Yep.

Also have to give some credit to Bryce Young for playing out of his mind (compared to how he has played). We're going to be everyone's Super Bowl and if we play down to opponents this kind of thing will happen.

But this has happened so much over the past six seasons to the Chiefs. I'm not worried about what it means for the future at all. I mean not - one - bit.

Effort.

And that's not ignoring the issues in the secondary, but we also know what happens to the defense when Chris Jones and the defensive line really enforces their will on a game.
