I didn’t like the Durant Warriors, but I could at least appreciate that team’s place in history.
This just feels like a really good team against a bunch of average playoff teams.
Boston's really good but I think the disappointing thing is that we never got to see them test their mettle against an elite team that could have matched them on both ends (Dallas' defense is getting picked apart and has been all series). With their track record in big games, they might have folded in that scenario but we'll never know now. [Reply]

They were fortunate to play against Miami without Butler the entire series, Cleveland without Mitchell for the back half, and the Pacers without Haliburton the last few games.
They probably still win those series, but not as easily and would be a more tired group.
Then again, they didn't have Porzingis for most of the playoffs. [Reply]
Some 16 year old kid in Boston posted about how he’s seen 11 parades. I know it’s not his fault but that’s so punchable. There are going to be college kids in Boston who may have never seen a year that didn’t feature a deep playoff team.
And yet they’ll still find a way to play victim like they have some huge chip on their shoulder.
It’s so disappointing knowing they have yet another team that will be relevant for a while. Fuck this sports market. [Reply]

Happy for Hoford at least. He has been a solid player his entire career.
Sucks to see it come to an end but even if Luka and Kyrie play better, you’re not going to beat a team that’s shooting the ball like Boston is. Still a huge accomplishment getting to the finals especially after completely missing the playoffs last year. They took a huge step this year. [Reply]
I’ll say it again, nba needs to fix scheduling. Way way too many superstars playing gladiator by the end of the playoff run. Luka looked sluggish the entire night. [Reply]

Carrying the entire offense for two months just about every possession will have that effect (unless you're prime LeBron). Needed more help to help lighten the load and it was nowhere to be found. [Reply]
