Year Two of the Matt Quatraro tenure. Time to take a step up this year. Active in free agency and trades this offseason. A new look pitching rotation and bullpen. Will the young players take the leap up offensively? Bobby Witt extension? New stadium? Will Vinny recover from injury? Salvy taking aim at the Royals record book? Will Cole Ragans turn into the best Royals starting pitcher since Greinke 1.0?

Been waiting for the Stratton arm injury. He just doesn't have it but we have him for one more year. The way relievers are so volatile, you might as well shut him down and try to fix him in the offseason. If he comes out next year pitching like that then you cut your losses. [Reply]

3 games or more is probably too much to overcome without some luck.
Beginning of next week is going to be huge. We're playing Detroit but also Cleveland is playing Minnesota for 4 games at the same time. Should make an big impact on where everyone is in the division race and all the wild card spots going into the last 9 games. [Reply]

Absolutely.
If we’re only 2 games back, this is far from over.
3 or 4 games back would probably be too much.
If (big if) we leave the weekend 1 game back, then I’d almost call us the favorite. [Reply]
Today's ump is what made me remember to check. Umpire crew must have early dinner reservations tonight because this guy is calling anything a strike within 2-3 inches to the box. [Reply]
