I just feel like everyone is going to spend all week talking about Mahomes' ankle or Burrow being a Demigod or Chase against this young secondary or Lou Anarumo being a psychopath...and then in the end it's just going to Samaje Perine bludgeoning Bolton and Gay to death.

Still certain CIN makes the playoffs, so we'll see.
He made a bad decision on 2 throws. It happens. He also threw a GWTD pass that Boyd dropped with a minute and a half left in the game.
One dropped pass determined how the entire narrative goes this week, for us and the NM. 180 degree swing. [Reply]

Maybe try not talking out of your ass?
Actually it is. you just have a problem reading. I'm certain they're making the playoffs, up until they're mathematically eliminated. Do you understand what that phrase means?
#Bengals pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson, Top 10 in the NFL with 8.5 sacks, suffered a hyperextended knee when #Texans WR Noah Brown fell into him, source said. He's having an MRI, with the hope going in that it's a short-term absence.

Try taking a class in comprehension.
Is Carolina mathematically eliminated? By your logic you are certain they are making the playoffs. [Reply]
A TD pass isnt' a game winning TD pass when there's that much time on the clock and the other team just knifes down the field for the game winning fg. [Reply]

And I'm not shrugging off taking sacks. I chose not to take a deep dive into that for this conversation. I'll give you that he takes too many sacks, if you concede that not every sack is his fault. Fair?
Also, some of those punts were the result of receivers not catching a perfectly catchable ball. Is that really Burrow's fault? Should he have walked over and handed the ball to the receiver? Or, realized through his precognitive abilities that that particular receiver was going to drop the pass, and chosen a different receiver instead?
We could even get into play-calling, if we wanted to, though I'm not going to dive into that. But is it Joe's fault when the first play is a run that gets a yard, then they run the next play that gets flagged for holding or whatever, and now they're 2nd and really long? Is that Joe's fault, or does he get a pass there?
If we take Joe out of it and it's Pat in there instead, do you give him a pass in those situations?
You said “high level.” He obviously didn’t do that. High level play overcomes all of the excuses you are trying to make for him yesterday.
And no, I wouldn’t give Mahomes a pass given I’ve been one pointing out him missing open receivers in these games and bailing pockets too quick. [Reply]

And when a team's playing for 3 or 4+, the play calling is different and you can't assume the exact same thing happens. [Reply]

That's not what you said. This is what you said:

Lol, why are you guys being so obtuse? This isn't hard. Try reading better.
Is CAR as talented as CIN? Do they have a top-5 QB? Do they have one of the best WR rooms in the league? Do they have proven coaching? Ranked 15th in DEF DVOA, making them better than BUF, MIA, HOU and PHI? Last I checked, the answer to all of these questions is unequivocally, "No."
Oh, I get it. Because it's CIN. And we don't like CIN. This is the "we aren't going to have a rational discussion about this team because we hate them" thread.
Sorry, I forgot. "CIN sucks because we want them to suck!!!"
