Fat Rhule and his $74 million contract seems to have a problem with collegiate QB’s getting compensated…
Nebraska HC Matt Rhule on transfer portal QBs today:
"Make no mistake: a good quarterback in the portal costs $1 million to $1.5 million to $2 million right now. So just so we’re on the same page, right? Let’s make sure we all understand what’s happening. There are some teams…

You aware NIL is totally separate from things like a school athletic budget right? Nebraskas NIL doesn't have the donor base that a school like say USC would have. Still doesn't mean they can't get a good QB in the portal but the collective won't be able to compete for someone like Riley Leonard that's just not reality. Again context matters [Reply]

My kid was on the dance team. Since it was a club, not an NCAA endorsed sport, we had to pay for uniforms, workouts, trips, etc. They were not even allowed to put the trophy on campus even though they spent all game day smoozing fans (and getting groped a little) . Point? Even though they represented the university, they got nothing I mentioned above.
Then, think about how some of them will feel when the faucet shuts off. Most are NOT prepared for it. Mentally or financially.
Let's be real, scholarships are damn near useless to the kids that are actually getting the lucrative NIL deals that lead to them hopping programs. And as Franchise already said, it was far more egregious when the shit was under the table and the NCAA and these universities were making billions off the back of athletes. [Reply]

Nebraska doesn’t have any wealthy donors who can support NIL?
No wonder your shit school hasn’t even been bowl eligible in forever.
Loser fanbase, loser school… full of mask wearing betas like your fat ass. [Reply]

All the boosters who paid for Tommie Frazier to play for Nebraska must be off the bandwagon or dead. [Reply]

This isn't a shock. Didn't Caleb Williams say a few months ago he might consider staying in college because he could make more money than going to the draft? [Reply]
