With RB Isiah Pacheco expected to be sideliend 6-8 weeks, the Chiefs are bringing their former RB Kareem Hunt back to Kansas City for a Tuesday visit, per league sources. Hunt could help fill the Chiefs’ running back void. pic.twitter.com/nDzNGlrcuH

As an aside, nobody is looking for Marcus Allen in his prime.
However, there are those who have been furiously fapping over a Kareem Hunt return for years. Now this visit, that honestly screams pure desperation from the front office, is going to light that fire under those folks again.
If you think 2018 Hunt is going to trot out onto that field, you'll be sorely disappointed. Frankly, I'm surprised Veach hasn't been able to poach someone a decade younger.
Somehow a guy sitting on his couch that played here 6 years ago and watched his career spiral down the toilet is the best option for the best GM in football?
You think Hunt is washed, yet you prefer McKinnon? [Reply]

Let's see, the guy who was literally scoring touchdowns in this offense last season, or a guy who hasn't been here in 6 years, and shouldn't be returning.
Hmm.
Given the choice between the two washed backs, yes I'd prefer McKinnon. [Reply]

:-) Sure, if your ego is that low that basic pointing and laughing at your lame Twitter shit posts gets you off then keep on keeping on, champ. [Reply]

I wonder if there's a stylistic distinction from a blocking standpoint.
For instance, McKinnon can chip but was best at 'absorbing' blitzers in pass pro. Hunt's just a bigger guy.
Maybe if they intend to use someone to help Kingsley a little more, they want someone that is more likely to deliver a punch than absorb one.
So in that regard, perhaps they just see Hunt, being the bigger and stronger back, as a slightly better fit.
Because yeah, intuitively you would think McKinnon would get the call ahead of Hunt. If he isn't, there's a reason for it. [Reply]

We need a guy who can provide a floor and take some of the real workload.
McKinnon's carries his 3 years with the Chiefs (from most recent): 21, 72, and 12.
That is not what we need. We replaced McKinnon with Perine. We don't need another guy who excels on 3rd down but will break if we run him between the tackles too often. [Reply]
If Hunt is washed, it certainly isn't from overuse. He had, what, a season and a half as a feature back here before he got the boot for punting that chick?
Then he's out for a seasons worth of games give or take, then spends 4 years as a second fiddle behind Chubb and friends in Cleveland. [Reply]

Others getting really upset for no real reason over unserious Twitter posts fuels me. [Reply]

:-) slow down now. No one gets really upset at your shit posts. If they did you wouldn't be here anymore. The actual good shit posters like Deberg eventually do too good of a job and get the boot. [Reply]

But why? Raw familiarity?
Because Hunt scored more TDs, averaged more YPC, had more yards per carry after contact, and was generally more effective than McKinnon. [Reply]
