One of the best WR prospects at the catch point and winning leverage mid-route. He consistently sets up defenders to put them on his back, locates the ball, and attacks it at the highest point.
Rashee Rice was drafted with pick 55 of round 2 in the 2023 draft class. He scored a 9.53 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 145 out of 3062 WR from 1987 to 2023. https://t.co/lwD9tvVPvvpic.twitter.com/YjucxErSE1

Again, LOL WUT.
Not to mention having to pay Lamb over $30M per year when Rice is still on a cheap rookie deal for 3 more seasons. Two years ago the Chiefs dumped the #1 ranked player in the league because they didn't want to pay him $30M per year. And they won 2 Super Bowls in a row without him. Receivers are overrated and overpaid. [Reply]

I look at something like that and just assume some people look at football as if it were Madden. Or worse, like the NBA. Like pairing 2 or 3 guys together automatically gets you a ring.
It's also Twitter, so it's curated to get as much engagement as possible. [Reply]
Yeah ceedee is a hell of a player but rice is immensely more valuable than draft picks right now because he's cheap and we know he's good. I beat the drum for WRs last year but right now I'm very pleased with where we're at. If anything we could always use an extra role player but it's not necessary. I'd love to see a checkdown option who runs great routes and catches every damn thing even if they're not a burner. Maybe Ross fits that bill [Reply]
Also, I know I'm picking a scab but it's definitely something to factor in if we're talking trades:
Be it suspension or worse Rice's future isn't exactly solid. The Chiefs aren't exactly dealing with a even deck. Not negotiation time IMHO. He's still on rookie contract and we're not dealing with pocket aces. Hang on till we know. [Reply]
