Looking like the only QBs left will be Jackson and Rosen and I don't see Elway being able to hedge teams into the fact they absolutely must trade to 5, instead of 6.
The Colts will be desperate to move down again with a lower slot value and more willingness to cut a deal. [Reply]

Lynch busting really set that franchise back 3/4 years...and just cost them $36 million in Keenum...which forced them to cut Talib/Anderson and push Miller's money into the future.
You're not going anywhere with an average QB... and the SB defense isn't coming back.
I hope the trade down or pick a guard.
That's if there's a QB worth taking... again, I'm jaded on Mayfield and Allen, dunno how I feel about Rosen.
Part of me half expects CLE to trade with BUF and acquire all those picks at 4. [Reply]

I kind of figured that the Colts traded right into where they wanted to be. Especially if all 4 quarterbacks are gone when they pick. If that happens then Chubb or Barkley will be available and I could see them grabbing either one of those guys. If both of those guys are gone, then yeah. I could see them wanting to trade down. The Colts were completely inactive in FA, so they need to rely on this draft to start the total overhaul of that god awful roster.
Ballard absolutely has to be targeting quantity over quality in this draft. [Reply]

I suppose so. Bit they already have 9 picks, includimg 4 in the top 50 and 2 more between 51-100. They can do a lot with That. I wouldn't call them desperate to trade down when they already have that kind of draft capital. Especially if Chubb is sitting there at 6. [Reply]

Have you looked at that fucking roster? 9 will just start to scratch the surface. [Reply]

Chubb isn't elite though.
They need 2-4 WR's, a Tight End that's more than merely average, a LG that can actually withstand 16 games, a feature back, 2 edge guys, 1-2 DT's, 3 Linebackers, a SS and 2 corners.

They need all the ****ing picks.
He's as close as they'll get in this draft.
They do need a lot, but they won't likely hit on all those in this draft. Depends how far they have to trade down. [Reply]

That's a multi-year rebuild, so why settle for what you can get at closing time when 2019 will be a monster draft for edge rushers? The strength of this draft isn't at top, it's in the middle and they need the quantity to build a core.
If they can get another 2+4 out of Buffalo, they'd be idiots to not take it. [Reply]

True.
But I always feel when people say a draft is strong in the middle, the draft class sucks.
They would do well to hit 4 or 5 starters in this draft and accumulate picks I suppose. [Reply]
May have been mentioned already, but Klis reported that the Bills, Dolphins and Cardinals have all called to inquiry about the #5 pick... maybe they will have a suitor.
Maybe they can turn 5 into 12, 22 and 99.
Then, take 40 and 99 and move into late R1.
I'd take 12, 22 and early 30's over 5, 40. Something like that if the right players were on the board would be solid. Or, just keep 12, 22 and 99 and roll with what you get at 40. [Reply]
