Skip is just playing a role. The edge to the show is that Shannon and Skip are debating; they're arguing. And to increase the edge, Skip picks points of view that are extreme. But they are also points of view that are out in the wild. He hasn't said anything that hasn't been said on social media or even sports media somewhere at some time.

Most, if not all, of the negative things he's said about the Chiefs and Pat have been said already on any and every Patriots/Broncos/Raiders/Colts/Chargers forum before. And Skip tends to pick the most extreme of these viewpoints to use on the show. Shocking.

You have to embrace that it’s all for show but Bayless is a pretty damn good actor.

And he’s occasionally serious about some goofy shit I think so you never really know when he’s trolling for certain.
