Not sure I'd jump to that extreme. Dana is Dana. I.e. power hungry, won't let anyone push him around (minus Lorenzo/Frank) and wants to establish precedents imo. He's pissed off fromt he neg. press the UFC has had with Greg's camp via the "running" and with this, he went over the edge. Additionally, Jones' DUI charge after a Bud Light sponsorship didn't help. Really, Dana seems to just be pissed off. Still hasn't sunk to boxing, i.e. fixing matches for the betterment of the UFC and allowing constant avoidance of opponents in the same weight class. [Reply]

According to Nevada State Athletic Commision rules, the UFC is required to pay the fighter due to the short notice.
I will say I am more excited to see Aldo/Edgar fight than Aldo/Koch. I cant explain why? [Reply]

You don't go in with a gameplan against one fighter, scrap everything and fight a top fighter in the world on virtually no notice when a title belt and endorsement deals are on the line.
At this level, if you're not prepared, not only do you lose, you get knocked the **** out. Bones' camp is 100000% right in this case. There's nothing wrong w/ Bones looking out for himself.
Yeah it can be done. But there are only so many fighters that can headline an event and none were on this card. You seriously believe he didn't try everything in his power to find ANYONE with draw to fill in? For the first time there was NOBODY to fill in, injuries are a part of it. Doesn't make Dana some moron or incompetent, he doesn't control injuries. Your fix is to "Put somebody else in" which, again, is completely stupid.
He already has endorsement deals, he doesn't "Win" them, so again your wrong. I do see where Jones is coming from, but his camp is not 10000% right at all. You are the champ and should defend your belt against anybody that steps up. Only declined because he swore he wouldnt let Sonnen "talk" his way to title and his ego got in the way. Virtually everyone in the UFC has weighed in on this on twitter or some other way and the overwhelming majority is "I would of taken the fight", so you are in the minority for your stance.
To the game plan part, that is the most over-rated part of this. Listen to top level guys or girls even (see Ronda Rousey) who say they don't even use gameplans because you never know how the opponent is going to attack you. They train their aspects, work on some strengths of opponent. Its not like Chael is some complex fighter either, he is a wrestler, you don't think Jones would have been working on his wrestling? Totally asinine to use "gameplan" as an excuse. Many, many UFC fighters have taken fights on short notice and won. [Reply]
