Okay, here is a place for the Golfers to talk about tournaments, clubs, swing help or thoughts.
Today is the Players Championship, which I think ought to be the 5th Major. Largest pot in the PGA. The daunting 17th, which seems to bring excitement every year. At least we will get to see Sergio blow up yet again.
Shortly after Tiger first came out on tour, he played a practice round with Phil for a little bit of money. Tiger was up, but Phil kept pressing. Eventually, they reach a long-ish par 3 with the wind into them. Phil, says out loud to Bones, "Jeez, I'm going to have to step all over this five to get it there." In reality, he's hitting 7. Tiger pulls a 6 iron, and airmails the green by 30 yards.
After Tiger pays him, Phil puts a photocopy of the 100 dollar bills and a smiley face in Tiger's locker with the message, "Benji and his friends enjoy their new home." [Reply]
Went out tonight and shot a 37. Hit 5 greens and two fringes. Didn't make a putt over six feet all day, and missed five birdie putts inside of 15 feet, including a six footer on one that I almost holed out on.
I was 40 yards out on one par 4 and made par and 64 out after two on a par 5 and made 5 after missing both greens. Could have been a lot lower, but it could have also been a lot worse.
I hit one fairway and none with the driver.
On a related note, I finished in second place in an online tournament on Tiger Woods '12. [Reply]
I'm looking forward to playing a ton of golf, pretty much as much as I can handle... In the last three years I have gotten about 3 rounds in, but Thursday of last week we joined the Harmony Landing Country Club(we live between the 4th & 5th and 14th & 15th holes, the 14 green is in our front yard!) We have lived there almost 8 years now and I have NEVER played the 'full' course.
It's going to be really cool to be able to walk out of the back of the house and hit the course... at the top of my casual game about 10 years ago I was in the low 80s, we'll see where it goes from here! [Reply]

Phil's biggest competition is himself. Dude has meg-talents, but can't get out of his own way most of the time. Too many foolish risks and tries to hit every club nine miles. If some coach could harness his skills just a little bit, the guy could win several majors.
