The big anti-hijack thread.....
Talk about anything, but if this works than we don't have to keep looking around all the threads to see who is still on tonight, and every night, or even every day! Talk about the chiefs, talk about tomorrow, talk about football, politics or even how to do flooring and the applicable budget. What you're drinking, how hard it is to sleep, etc. Every thing is acceptable in this thread.....
As this pitiful season comes to a close, I want to have some fun. I don't want to relive this season (that's like having the same nightmare over and over Groundhog Day style). I don't want to speculate about the draft. I want to lick my wounds and have some smartass conversation.
The relocated 1903 Nolana schoolhouse features the charm and traditional setting of a "one room" school house. It is equipped with slate chalkboards, wooden desk with ink wells, recitation bench, and many other articles from days gone by. This classroom setting may rekindle some memories or create a greater understanding of the learning environment and its transitions.
Now, nearly extinct as an educational institution, this one room school, built in 1884, stands proudly on the museum grounds - a monument to the importance the prairie pioneer placed on educating their young. Many a rural student was provided eight years of "readin','ritin', and 'rithmetic" in just such a building as the District 44 school (Beach School).
Complete with two outhouses and a coal house, this country school complex continues to house the occasional class of students who learn what schooling was really about, many years ago.
Someone needs to paint the damn thing. I have to say I'm disappointed in the lack of information I'm finding on this topic. Are you sure you wouldn't rather talk about the Chiefs?
I think I'll just go to bed. We're going to Iowa tomorrow for Dad's birthday, and although I've already packed for all of us there will still be much to do in the morning.
All I have on this one is just a picture, no details. It's located in Gawd Damned Nebraska City. This one appears to have been upgraded with low-maintenance vinyl siding.

Chiefs? Why on earth would you want to talk about them?
